I still cant understand why Exhilaration isn’t on a 30 second CD and or a talent to reset when a mob is killed. If it functioned similar to victory rush for warriors, hunter would be incredible.
Maybe they should introduce a DOT heal over time sting that leeches on a shorter CD and keep Exhil the same, i dunno, i just wish we were somewhat competitive in that self heal space as we don’t do much else especially well.

Hunters are already incredible… especially hunters that are Gnomes. Also, we can heal over time when we go into stealth.

Stealth or even FD. Also there is a talent (unless removed) that reduces the cooldown of Exhileration. I think based on focus used

Pack Leader has a node where using Survival of the Fittest or Aspect of the Turtle heals you for 20% of your max health and you have 2 charges of SotF.
Dark Ranger has 15% self healing from shadow damage done or using Survival of the Fittest activates Exhilaration and vice versa.
If you run a tenacity pet you have Aspect of the Bear for healing and a ferocity pet gives passive leech, although leech was nerfed across the board. We really are strong in the defensive department

Yea thats fair. I went a damage build rout so i don’t usually take stealth. Ill probably make a Delv build and incorporate stealth that will be a nice intermediate between exhilaration uses.
LoL this alsight might just be that im slightly jelous of how chunky warrior self heal can be having leveled one and played it a bit now. lol
It’s better now than it used to be at least. On my PVP hunter (I have multiple hunters focused on different things) I’m enjoying being a dark ranger and getting extra heals from survival of the fittest. This character - my main who is focused on PVE (delves) is a sentinel marks hunter and the shield we get is a nice passive damage reduction. Though I have started using a tenacity pet for the extra heal and I have been keeping Brann as a healer. It just makes everything straightforward in delves though I still need to beat Zekvir on ?? tier. But no one seems to be able to do that at this point so I’m not rushing to bang my head against that wall.
In the past the idea was that hunters are at range and the pet keeps things away from us so we don’t take much damage so we don’t need a lot of self-healing.
But that doesn’t work as much in PVP and there seems to be more unavoidable damage in PVE. I’m glad they finally gave us more self-healing though I wouldn’t say no to having it boosted in the future

Our healing abilities could use shorter cds.
Spirit Mend could use a buff, we are in the millions of health now.
Camo is really nice for the full heal and you can transition to your flying mount without it breaking so would not want that changed at all.
