Yes. Thunderfury is still very much an obtainable legendary. Had one binding drop for me last year. Still working to get the other.
With that said, it’s not like they drop often: drop rates are 3.7% on the left binding, 4% on the right according to Wowhead. Mind you, those numbers are among the portion of the playerbase using their data collection addon, and generally people are going to stop running MC once they have both, otherwise you’d have much more data regarding runs where it didn’t drop.
In other words? I’m saying lower than 2% for the actual drop rate. Laws of probability would suggest it should have dropped for you by now, but as I’m sure you know, stats never want to work that way. Keep in mind there are things with higher drop rates that people have ran since BC or Wrath, and they still haven’t seen those :-/
I got them during BFA . . . only two weeks apart from each other.

I finally got my other to drop last year. The first dropped right away. The second took way too long.

They definitely were dropping for me in BFA, i got both within a month of farming. Do you do it often and with several chars? Or just sparce farming?

I myself just stick to the alt it dropped on. I know I’d have more overall chances a week if I had more characters working on it, but I’m superstitious as hell.
I know how my luck runs: the moment I put another character in there, I know I’m going to see the binding I need, and at that point the opposite binding will never drop for either of them XD

It can be a long grind, it took absolutely forever to get both of my warglaves from illidan (you know, back when rogues could use them.) …got the sunwell bow on a rogue, too now that I think about it. just keep going!

I was farming HW rep weekly for the achievements, and I got lucky and had both drop by them time I was exalted. Actually, the second one dropped on my very last MC run.
Only somewhat related but just sharing for fun: I have gotten several pairs of warglaives from BT but always on toons that can’t use them 
I got both warglaives within a 3 week period. Another rogue of mine got the second one after 6 years.
I got my left half about 2 months ago. So yes?

Problem is the second half can only drop for pallies, warriors ,rogues and hunters. Nice try.
