Do Tauren and Draenei have to have a farrier? Like do they do that themselves or do they go to someone that does it like they would go to get their hair done.
These are things that my brain thinks that keep me up at night

I imagine that they could do it themselves.
Dab
I suppose they could do it themselves; like having small farrier kits in their adventuring bag and stuff.
I like to imagine that ever since Burning Crusade, most blacksmiths on Azeroth have been forced to become part-time pedicurists as part of their trade.
#DraeneiSpaDay
Spas now have to have a farrier for the hoofed customers now.
Hoof maintenance is the same as foot maintenance for Tauren. Cow hooves don’t need shoes, so it’s just a matter of trimming and upkeep. Tauren also have two fewer fingernails to clean so it balances out.
Don’t know much about goat hooves but I assume Draenei are the same. But also with tentacles so they’re weird.
Tend to my hooves…myself?! *hair flip Of course not! There are… humans who do that for a price, or for no price if you know where to look. Have you heard of a little town – just a stone’s throw from Stormwind’s gates – called Goldshire?
^ My Draenei inducting yours into the real world, yo.
Cows need padding on their hooves when there are issues sometimes (I spent a whole hour getting sucked into a farrier video on YT) , and the LF goats have padding in game on their hooves. WHAT IS THE TRUTH BLIZZARD
Sylvanas plz come pick me up, I’m scared.
I’d imagine as children, the adults/parents/guardians would do it for them, but adults would be expected to tend to it themselves, or each other.
I’d also imagine, like real-life Goats and Cattle, the surface they are walking on factors into the wear and tear they experience.
Softer surfaces might not wear away at the hoof material enough, forcing the Tauren or Draenei to take to their own hooves with files or rough stones and grind away excess material, while harder or more hazardous surfaces may cause damage to the softer pads of their hooves.
More than wear and tear, substances to fill or seal cracks and chips to prevent the hoof splitting up to the quick, as well as the implementation of metallic ‘shoes’ might also come into play. While Tauren and Draenei have split hooves rather than a Horse’s singular one, specialized ‘shoes’ could have been developed for individuals finding themselves in situations that are hostile to their hooves, holding the hooves together under great stress or protecting the softer pads from contact with hot or dangerous surfaces.
Don’t hold it against them, they just do it for a little extra confidence.
Space Goat females have a /silly (or maybe it was flirt??) about wanting to find someone to take care of her gorgeous hooves… So I would think they do either take care of their hooves themselves or go to someone to do them up.
Kina generally takes care of her own. But sometimes when she is feeling girly, she goes and get her hooves did. A little buffing and some polish will lift your spirits.
Thank you, im so using that now.
I’m doing my part
I’d assume in game wise barbershops would offer this service…That’s my own headcannon, anyway.
I’m working on a Tauren character so I should probably figure this out sooner rather than later…
Real talk I remember a Darkmoon Faire once on a human character back in BC where a Draenei lady cornered me and I only realized later very sensually was guiding me through helping her buff her hooves.
“Twenty thousand years I been fighting the Burning Legion and now I have to care for my own hooves?!”
Wow, it really is a small world.
