Do something about windwalker and brewmaster button bloat please

Windwalker and brewmaster have a lot of keybinds.
But those keybinds aren’t really an issue for me. It becomes an issue when I have to use three more keybinds

  1. On-use weapon Rashok Polearm
  2. Beacon
  3. Dragon fire Bomb Dispenser

Please nerf one of these three. It’s just too much, the third on-use is the straw that broke the camel’s back

Or make the polearm a passive effect

Or make the polearm a 2 min cd instead of 2:30 so I can macro it with Xuen or weapons of order

Anything else with your order?

the purpose of these forums is to communicate issues that players have with the class, which is exactly what i’ve done here.

Just saying. You come across a little demanding without really providing a whole lot of groundwork other than … “I don’t mind my too many buttons, but trinkets … “ no one is forcing you to use all of these.

One solution could be to macro these with other abilities …

you dont want to macro everything together, optimal gameplay involves not pressing everything at the same time… could i macro dragonfire bomb to another ability, say tiger palm? i sure could but i dont want to always just toss out every bomb whenever they become available… sometimes u wanna hold a bomb until an add is about to die so that the bomb explodes and deals aoe dmg… this is how u min max the dps from dragonfire bomb dispensor.

additionally, you may get max stacks of bomb and want to press it immediately so u don’t waste a bomb, but what if you just pressed tiger palm? you can’t press tiger palm a second time immediately without pressing another button first (this would cause you to break your mastery and lose your hit-combo stacks)

furthermore, you are not going to macro beacon to the beyond with any other ability, it has a cast time…

also i mentioned that in my post, if u would care to read the whole thing (its not too hard, its like four sentences total)

i could macro rashok’s polearm to xuen (that would be really great actually because xuen gives you haste)… but xuen is a 2 min cd and polearm is 2:30. so that macro would not be optimal.

i explained that there is too much button bloat with windwalker as it currently is and the straw that broke the camel’s back is the three on use items (dragonfire bomb, beacon and rashok’s polearm). As i said, i can handle all of the current windwalker keybinds along with two on-use trinkets but the third one just becomes too much.

if you aren’t using rashok’s polearm, beacon and dragonfire bomb, you are doing SUBSTANTIALLY less dps than a windwalker who is.

you should know this right, you play a windwalker?

go run a sim of your character with beacon, dragonfire bomb dispenser and rashok’s polearm… then run a sim of your character without these items and please let me know the difference in dps between the two sims… thanks

I agree. I’m lazy when I tank and brew is too much work. It’s fun s d the damage is great plus ROP is great utility…but the bloat!!

I actually love brewmaster and was able to deal with all the keybinds for the class abilities and two extra keybinds for on-use trinkets.

It just became one keybind too much to use the Rashok polearm.

The keybind that broke the camel’s back if you will

What I don’t get is the nerf to brews damage, but everyone is saying DH is top damage? Confusing

It’s actually brewmaster by a long shot right now, more than a 10-15k difference

Uhhh based on what data exactly? I’m legitimately curious where you’re getting your data because it’s not Warcraftlogs. Let’s check:

Not there.

Maybe you meant in raids?

Hrmm. Not there either. Looks like bears are ahead of brewmaster by quite a bit. Let’s check the dps nerfs to the druids…Oh wait. None. Yeah, Seems like someone’s playing their druid again this expansion at the old Blizzard HQ. Must have switched from balance druid to guardian finally.

It was veng/monk pretty even, until guardian rework, now it’s >>>> guardian. No nerfs to them for some reason.

Oh man this is really awkward. Did you try setting the keys to above level 20? That’s a lot of green.

Ha yeah monks take over at high keys!
