Well they make specific mention that the Blizzard Cash Shop will be unavailable during the maintenance as well.
This confirms that the item to restore people from fishy status will be an ingame shop toy only available to those who fund e-sports.

Yeah, idk what you’re trying to say. I’m clearly not claiming that players with enchanted heirlooms constitute twinks.
My alt is in enchanted heirlooms and was still annihilated by this guy, along with the rest of my team. We can reason that he more skillfully pressed aimed shot than other hunters but I don’t really think that’s it.
He is probably trying to imply that the devs should have done the right thing; BALANCE THE OUTLIERS, instead of using the lazy bandaid fix of removing twinks. BGs are still an imbalanced mess due to premades and overpowered specs.
I would much rather get curbstomped by someone who put in time and effort to grind out gear that makes them powerful instead of getting pwned by overpowered spec #5319 who is keyboard turning scrub and only wins due to faceroll leet skillz.
Ran into a hunter in the 49 bracket that nearly tripled the second-place player in damage.
Must be the healer imbalance.
Made quick work of my holy paladin despite my enchanted heirlooms and dungeon drops. That’s gotta be my fault though- bad positioning. I should’ve positioned myself on the opposite side of the map at all times.
Oh, sorry. I thought you were saying that he was a twink because he did 3x the damage of the closest person to him, not because you were being outplayed. I figured I’d post SS’s of my doing 2x/3x the closest enemy player to me since apparently that constitutes someone as a twink in certain peoples books.

Cleverly ignored my mention of him annihilating players in enchanted heirlooms and dungeon drops which you lot claimed for months was enough to compete with these people.
Leaderboards weren’t my only metric but thanks for sharing the humblebrag screenshots I guess.
My Hunter isn’t a twink and blows up other players easily. The class is OP at low levels.

It was, and is, enough.
This is the 3rd toon I’ve leveled primarily through PvP over the last 2-3 months. DI Fury Warrior and BE Disc Priest were the other two. Enchanted heirlooms and just the BG rewards go so far. It’s been a pretty good experience so far. The biggest annoyance really is the damn healer imbalance, very rarely do I see them even on both sides. It’s usually like 3-4v1 or something dumb.
Try keeping your rears against something hard.
Until Classic, where Twinks are finally much more balanced.

IDK the full story though. Worg/warg has long been a term used to speak of animals and wolves in particular, including magic involving them. Like in GoT, when Bran “mind controls” an animal he’s “warging”. And Wargs were basically “dire wolves” in Dungeons and Dragons, powerful special wolves.
Maybe they came up with worgen legit, but it was just one intern who thought he was a funny guy.
