Mainly asking this because of the Cross-Faction guilds. Can an Alliance on Stormrage join a Horde guild on Area52? Or would it have to be on the Area52 cluster? Are clusters even a thing anymore? I have no idea honestly, lol
It doesn’t matter fort AH or mail anymore. Not sure about guilds.
Hope GD was the right forum to ask in. Thanks!

Guilds are mostly just for Mythic Raiding.

Guilds are still realm specific, but otherwise I don’t think they matter much outside of RP realms that have their own sharding rules.
No. Guilds are still server/connected realms locked. But what you can do is join cross-realm and cross-faction communities that serve a similar purpose…without the perks/shared bank.
Overall, realms are only really important for the economy and mythic raiding.

I believe for cross faction you have to be on the same server (or a connected server) as well as be a Battlenet friend.
To invite someone they must be either a battlenet friend or a member of the same cross-faction community as you.
Did they change it to include everything on the AH?
Seems like it was mostly mats and non gear/weapons before.
Kudos if they did. I love the low prices so I can just buy the stuff instead of farming it.
Realms seem to be an identity thing. Im T from RealmX.
Other than that name distinction, Id like to see it all mashed into one big community.
For economy mostly and raiding
It does. Only some things are region wide on the AH. Not everything. And you cannot mail cross server unless it’s BoA.
Economies and communities are still a thing. It’s why they did Connected Realms and not straight up mergers.

Sadly yes. I hope they bring with cross factions and cross realm guilds, cross realms itself.
I mean besides economy nothing else is distinguishable
They cannot join a guild. I think they will be able to join a community.
Yes, Duskwood and Bloodhoof are clustered because they are both so low-population. That’s not going away yet.
AH is only region-wide for commodities… high-end crafted items and most BoE gear/pets are still server-specific. The prices on Duskwood for a current-patch Glacial Phial were 10x higher than the cost on Proudmoore, because high pop = lots of crafters = lower prices. Same was true of crafted 418s on low-pop vs high-pop.

I’m wanting to put my alliance characters that are in my realm group into my horde guild.
