terrible balance, no bonus for latecomers in PVP.
I hope there is a bonus for getting honor points for latecomers like me.
It takes a long time for latecomers to enter the arenas.

I suggest you watch Stoopz ex-PvP dev interview or read a longer tldr. He left right before shadowlands launch and explains that PvP is basically the runt of WoWs focus.
The short tldr, is that he says that there was only 3 PvP devs for ALL of PvP (now 2) and that those devs would get flexed onto PvE teams all the time. Additionally that a majority of shadowlands PvP development went into making the new arena.
I would not expect a gear catchup mechanic for the rest of this xpack.

There’s just one class designer who is responsible for the interactions of 36 specializations across all content PvP-PvE.
pathetic, that their PVE ain’t get much better than PVP LMFAO
