I see both, especially in Sark killing groups where people have 6+ evokers, they can’t all be Aug

Mobile won’t let me switch chars to my evoker for some reason

It’s really good DPS but just hard to get into groups because everyone thinks your aug and ppl are tired of bad aug flood

Also preserv is a really good healer too

Is it? I feel like I dont see a lot of preservation representation and I am interested in their healing.

Yea you asked about mw healing in the other thread so when I saw it was you here i mentioned that pres is good (also having a ton of fun with it)

They are totally different than monk, having like 4 big healing buttons that you have to rotate and in between you have less healing so you have to know when to press your buttons (but when you do they are chunky heals)

Also dps and healing is easier to do than monk, both are really fun but I think dev dps is more enjoyable than WW but that’s a personal thing I’ve never really liked WW rotation

Almost the same as druid but heavier & shorter range.

Don’t know why it won’t let me switch, but my evoker is Cafeine-Mal’Ganis

Personally I think druid has a higher skill cap and APM. Druid has lots of ramp whereas Evoker has much less ramp

In my opinion, evoker is super chill to heal on or dps

I still play dev in mythic prog for the most part.

It’s significantly more fun for me and unless it gets us over a hump to switch Aug I stay dev.

Nah, I just benched mine because no matter what I do I’m 20k dps below what I sim at. and i’ve even been told by high end CE devokers that they’re baffled.
I just gave up on it after having 78 days played across my 3 evokers. Just ain’t for me ig.

I find preservation to be fun but it does have some things I just don’t enjoy with it. It’s easier to get a full group back up to full health quickly if you need it. You have hover to help with the range loss.

I find Dev better than Aug. Some aoe pulls I can push almost 300K on as Dev. I know it’s not the best but it’s a still good chunk of damage.

Evoker is my second healer other than my Monk that I wanna go Season 3 with.

I only aug in dungeons mostly. Except for when i feel as though the other two dps wouldn’t be doing a very worthwhile job on their own, and/or would be prone to dying often. Because at least as dev i can do my own dps and carry the lower dps if i need to.

In raid i mostly do Devastation unless the mood strikes me, but we already have one augmentation evoker (sometimes two) and it’s really really hard to not keep buffing her with ebon might because we have the exact same mind for positioning.

The set bonus this patch on top of things like shattering star and iridescence adds a lot of unexpected nuance to the spec… nuance that really makes or breaks your damage if you’re not nailing it. I’m having more struggles parsing well this tier with the gameplay improvements we recieved, than i was last tier when we were super clunky.

Yeah which really pisses me off bc I can play the spec very well in PvP and m+, just not raid.
I don’t understand. and I refuse to play this garbage known as augmentation

There’s always a zillion groups in need of heals, so I pretty much just play Dev when I’m out questing.

I was in the same boat as you, I killed it in mythic+ and pvp, but every raid night my dps was just garbage outside of dragon rage, so I gave up on PvE altogether. Now, all I do is PvP.

Because Devestation isn’t allowed to play the game anymore thanks to Blizzard.
If I queue into a 19 and they see I’m not Aug they do one of three things:

  1. Decline me
  2. Accept me just to Kick me, but only after name calling me and treating me like garbage for not switching to the point that I’m 10x more depressed than I was when I started the game up.
  3. They accept me but then talk in chat all run to their duo or to no one about how stupid I am for not playing Aug and that they regretted accepting me.

Fun times right? Really shocked people aren’t wanting to sign up for that type of treatment.

I hate Blizzard right now for what they did to Devastation by putting Aug into the game like it is. They implemented this poorly af.
