Getting honor gear was so fast and all done via PvP, so that was not a factor for very long at all.

1v1s shouldn’t be discussed when it comes to BGs. They are a team game aspect of wow. It is very possible for a lesser geared team to win by playing objectives, utilizing CC/silence on the right characters. Gear brings more damage, but that doesn’t = a win automatically

I don’t think people should be shamed for not having gear, and I don’t think people should be shamed for having gear. Any pvp I do is either on a twink or a low geared 120, so I get a lot from both directions. Random bgs are simply a casual way to PvP. No one gets mad if you aren’t top DPS in LFR, and no one should get mad in battlegrounds either. I personally wish that we could just get an improved version of the template system that would let players make choices on what gear they want – oh wait, Blizzard thinks we’re all brain dead monkeys that cant find a vendor, so we obviously cant choose our gear either.

Yeah you’re actually at a disadvantage which is kinda funny… Even if you have a 470 PvP item, there is likely a 470 pve item with a better proc or on use effect. There’s like one trinket and one PvP azerite that’s 100% bis for PvP. Kinda nutty…

Could you imagine if you could only get geti proc from arenas? Or fist of raden weapon from av? Lol the tears would flow.
