It’s on mobile only that I see them as there’s not as many reliable ad blockers. Perculia from wowhead has admitted those do sneak in from time to time and to report them and they do remove them. They’re nothing to do with someone’s pc but rather false flag ads that will then lead you to getting hijacked.
during tww alpha i think when they leaked faerin lothar model, I said she was ugly and a few moments later i was blocked
Wow, the sheer amount of people that haven’t figured out at ad-blockers is amazing. Figured it would be a lot lower on a MMO forum. Not sure I would take site recommendations from someone that hasn’t figured out ad-blocking addon or browser.
Wowhead has the bad habit on only focusing on what sims highest and ignores everything else. So Icyveins is nice to see if there is an alternate build for that other hero talent, or a playstyle that uses a spell that people dislike.
LOL – well wowhead and “x” – two things I’d never lose sleep over not being able to use.
This is entirely dependent on who’s writing the guide.
For example you can use IV and Wowhead both for Enhance, they’re run by Wordup and he knows what he’s talking about - just make sure to see if it’s updated.
Still better to be in the Earthshrine Discord.
No they give you options for the leftover points of those points you can do what you want with… read the perks maybe you will learn something besides copy and paste
I normally try icyveins wowhead method,gg murloc,io and find what suits me best, additionally i watch youtube guides when im sitting around waiting to pickup/deliver (im a truck driver). So i combine all that to figure out what spec ill run, then normally ill have 4-5 talent sets i switch between depending on what im doing.
I have mediocre skills so i gota get a legup where i can
I’m pretty much done with both of them.
I followed a tailoring guide during early access that told us to dump all our KP points in everything except for cloth gathering.
I’m still recovering from that.
So yea, not trusting a guide of any kind from either of those sites ever again.
I’ll ask in-game or just stumble across stuff on the forums.
yep I still do and so does my wife
Always check more than one guide.
Icy-veins has stepped up the game as of late though, just make sure you check “last time updated” and who is writing the guide.
I use Wowhead as my go-to for Class/Spec build guides.
I only check in on Icy-Veins for game news.
I still keyboard turn with default ui and have footpedals for buttons
I use icy veins for some things. I’m using the icy veins guide for frost dk because it’s the one that has suggestions for 2h frost. Sometimes the guide writers are the same between icy veins and wowhead (fury warrior for example), but sometimes they are not (frost dk). It can be good to compare different perspectives.
I mostly use Archon and cross reference with wowhead and icyveins to see how much of it is similar
I use this site. Whispyr manages the guides for rogues both there and wowhead
If you are still leveling, just throw points in whatever, it really doesn’t matter lol. Leveling is so braindead that I’m pretty sure you can ignore talent points all together and have no issues.
I wouldn’t say either site is “better”, which source is better depends entirely on which class lead is the author of the guide. Sometimes wowhead is better sometimes icy veins is better.
It has okay guides for Classic stuff. Some things they suggest, I do different, but over all if you use that for your guides it is a good choice over all. For how good they have been for me in Classic versions I am 100% willing to bet it will be of equal help to give it a try in retail
Archon is good, but it’s pretty weak when BIG changes come through and you need a day 1 build, or when you want to practice for the big changes coming up (like when hellcaller destro got buffed to the moon recently).
Kalamazi is the GOAT though. Feel bad for other classes since he doesn’t play them.
