Do people really flask for every raid?

Just a minor correction, but ferals inarguably benefit immensely from distilled wisdom.

Honestly, I can’t really see why. The 10 strength food is available for purchase from argent Dawn so you don’t even have to farm it, and I’m aware that agi is a better stat for some classes but the difference is so microscopic that I can’t see why it would hike grilled squid in any significant way (except for maybe hunters but they aren’t exactly a desirable class).

When the only difficulty to the raid is the parse competition then for those who compete in that have a legitimate reason to use them. Its not required by any means because again the content is faceroll easy but parse competition is legit playstyle.

Hardcore raiders don’t care how much it costs. They use as much as they possibly can. They’ll flask the entire raid, every night, to be the top guild on a realm. Most guilds don’t care about this though, and will typically only flask main tank or maybe some healers.

Meh I flask every week. Takes like 1 maybe 2 hours of mara boosts to afford a flask and 150 sp is just too good!

No, not everyone does, I think only our tanks do and we find that because it makes the experience more fun. Some of the guild used world buffs, some don’t but typically we are all drunk or stoned or both and so get into a war in black rock mountain, many get killed in the battle and so much for the stuff. I use mongoose, fire pots on a couple bosses and tea on most because it’s cheap. The pve isn’t hard enough to justify using all the possible buffs unless you’re a speed clearing guild, then that would make sense.

Your guild charges its raiders to raid?

I flask every raid. It’s pretty cheap.

Only a couple hours’ worth of farming every week.

I 'm not questioning it, just selling the stuff for 30g or more a stack

Yes. People spend hours all week long farming. Then more hours getting world buffs. Just to clear the raid 15 minutes faster than people with nothing.

You have to ask yourself, are you pushing parses? If not, does it make sense for 40 people to spend an extra 10 hours per week just to save 15 minutes?

But that’s a player created issue not a game created issue.

I do not disagree with what you said aside from the fact that the content should be harder and not just to make flasks more needed.

So you spend more time farming gold and mats then it takes to clear BWL?

Yes? So what, though?

I’m not flasking to save time, buddy. I flask because I want to perform my best in raids.

A concept totally foreign to you, I’m sure: https://gyazo.com/2d12e99464561e7644d24b8cb971ffe5

Yes, we all chip in to pay for the tank flasks because if they were responsible for getting it on their own they’d either be personally shelling out tons of cash or having to camp Black Lotus spawns like crazy.

honest question…why do you care what anyone spends their ingame gold on?

some use them. some dont. who cares?

I’m on mobile and can’t see what your link is.

I only care about clearing the raid in a reasonable amount of time. Speed runs can go back to Retail. I’m not spending tons of gold just to kill the boss 20 seconds faster.

I flask for progression day and when we have a raid down to the point where we can get 80% of the way without losing people consistantly.

I do have a herber and I’ve picked up a couple of lotus but I plan on holding them for AQ progression. If I was a caster/tank/healer main I’d consider flasking more frequently as it’s almost mandatory.

3-4 hours in BWL is reasonable?

Read what I said:

I don’t flask to “speedrun.”

Wtf? Our guild bank is loaded just from trash drops and materials, and an occasional class item sale. Your guild is straight up extorting its raiders, since the only 1-2 people that might need a flask are the MT and OT, and that’s only if they struggle to live week to week on Broodlord or Nefarian’s warrior call; nothing else comes close to fatal.
