Legion was a pretty good expansion, it also had the most rng gear with the titan forge allowing it to scale 80 item levels higher.
Personally I loved this system because I felt rewarded for simply playing the game. Even the randomness of getting a legendary from a world quest, bg or from a dungeon or raid.
I certainly didn’t even think twice wether or not it was a good idea to do that content, not only was the gameplay good in legion for the most part.
But you could also get great rewards from playing the content you liked. Which made playing alts easier with systems by the end with marks of honor and waking essence. Legion ended up being a well rounded game.
I understand there was complaints from raiders about progression being wonky but hopefully in dragonflight they could possibly allow professions to increase the item level in the same way as a fail safe.
So I’m curious to see people opinions on why titanforging is good and why it is bad for the game.
Yeah, I really enjoyed the system. It was only bad for PL and now that maybe a version of ML can come back then maybe a version of Titanforging can come back!
I loved it. It meant i never had to set foot in a dungeon or lfr (since I can’t get into higher difficulties) and still progress my toons. It was great for me. Bis means nothing too me and never will so getting upgrades regardless of states was perfectly fine for me.
It was a doo doo poo poo dog turd system that encouraged degenerate behavior from the playerbase. It made it so you needed to do EVERYTHING if you wanted to be top dog. It did not matter if YOU got a cool item from the RNG, it sucked because it turned the entire game into a loot treadmill. It hurt the game far more than it helped.
