Do people like high moutain tauren?

Or see them as inferior tauren with less class options?

Was noticing I barely see any, but their movement racial seems like it could be pretty good.

Edit: I keep getting replies that HM tauren should have just been extra customization just like mag har.

Points I like to make, High mountain tauren are “blessed tauren” and are supposed to be superior versions to regular tauren lorewise, this doesnt sound like they should just be customization to regular tauren.

Mag har are of course uncorrupted orcs, they are still prone to orc rages but it isnt as severe as green orcs which are demonically enhanced.

You could say mag har are technically inferior to green orcs biologically, but in comparison to green orcs they are highly militant due to the iron horde in alternate dreanor, in a twist probably making them the most dangerious orcs due to their rapidly unnatural technological growth. They are similar yet still very different from green orcs.

Zandalari are primodial trolls and are technically the superior trolls, all other troll tribes have zandalari as their origin before seperating due to dislike of zandalari cast system, over time this lead to drastic body changes as you have seen, due to back hunches to enlarged muscles.

But yet since the Zandalari male model is unique, no one says they should just be Troll customization.

So all these allied races are very different biologically and even some culturally.

It wouldnt make sense for them to just be additional customization.

I feel like that allied race slot is wasted. They should’ve just added all the highmountain tauren options to regular tauren as an unlock (like those night elf night warrior eyes).

Same goes for the Lightforged Draenei. I get it though, Blizzard wanted marketing points and Legion presented easy to make races.

They should’ve added something more unique, like the Taunka and those Argus broken. Both still similar to their cousin races, but not so similar that you could argue they fall under the same race.

If I was horde I would be high mountain. Highmountain stands

Personally, I kind of wish they weren’t a allied-race, kind of wish they were combined with regular taurens for more customization options.

As a tauren fanboy I can tell you I find them ridiculous.

The antlers are obnoxious and they got all the nice QoL customization options the OG tauren should’ve received; tail fluffers and whatnot.

But that’s unfortunately all a lot of the allied races actually are: customization options that were stretched into a new race.

This druid must also be a hunter, because that’s right on the mark!

I just unlocked them with my friend “because”. I have, like, zero interest in actually playing one.

I really like nearly everything about High Mountain Tauren and would race change one of my max-level Tauren to one in a heartbeat… but I just can’t get with their version of horns/antlers. I really thought I could, but I can’t.

And I agree with the sentiment that I’d much rather have seen them as Tauren customization option.

Blasphemy! They’re epic looking Tauren!

I feel like almost all of them were wasted because almost all of them were basically reskins of existing races.

You’re just jealous because your horns can never synergize with a helm the way my antlers do with mine.

And you know when you go to bed at night with your Tauren sweetie you both have to jam tennis balls on the pointy ends of your horns to keep from putting each others’ eyes out.

I am seeing this come up a lot that they should have been a customization option.

But like zandalari, lorewise they are a superior “blessed” form of tauren, and with what we know about them currently it wouldnt make sense to see them as paladins or priests.

I will scream at the top of my lungs about how Blizzard missed doing Highmountain Warlocks and that was the greatest sin. When you do the into quest you learn not all Bloodtotem drank the blood so the knowledge was RIGHT THERE. It would have been cool but noooo. Monk+ the original classes Tauren first had.

I like the look of them a lot more than I like the ‘original’ taurens (although they have their own value) and think they definitely could have been a customisation option instead of a whole “new” race.

I thought the same thing after typing it.

Nightborne, Kul Tirans, Zandalari, Vulpera (unfortunately), and to a lesser extent Void Elves (which gave “high elves” to alliance) are the only allied races that don’t outright feel like reskins.

The rest of the allied races should’ve been customizations options, like I said about the highmountain tauren.

both. i like highmountain tauren, but their lack of a cloth-class… i don’t like it.

They make awesome druids and I like their racial mount. I just don’t enjoy playing them on my tiny monitor laptop screen.

no offense to tauren ppls

The rest of the Highmountain fought the group that basically became Warlocks, so there was a reason the rest of them couldn’t and wouldn’t be Warlocks.

Yeah, but it was basically “fruit from a poisoned tree” so they ended up shunning it entirely in the end.

Are we even sure Highmountain actually exist and are not just a cover for dwarf infiltration of the horde?

They have the same 4 faces vanilla Tauren have. They have like 1 other braided hairstyle.
And antlers. Woo. Not a lot about which to get excited🥲

I wanted my HM Tauren Druid Moonkin Form to be physically bigger than the Low Mountain Tauren Moonkin Form.

Also, I wanted to make a HM Tauren Priest or Mage, but they aren’t options.
