Do NOT use the unstuck feature

This is my warning, do not use the unstuck feature, take me and my brothers death as a learning lesson. This way our deaths will have some meaning. We got a group for The Ancient Egg quest in the Hinterlands. We had it all the way to the end of cave and about to grab the egg.

Now if anyone lives in NY you know we had storms today. Our power went out right as we grabbing the egg.

So we are talking and planning about what to do when the power comes back, how will we escape. The power comes back so I ask on the skullrock discord if anyone doing the quest or wants to come help us. I get a suggestion to try the unstuck feature.

So we make new chars and do a unstuck ticket. The char is moved. The only problem is we moved right into the BG entrance in Hammerfel. We both die and there goes a 47 warlock and 46 pally.

If I knew that would happen I would have logged in the pally and went out on my feet like a warrior.

Just a FYI, don’t risk the unstuck feature.

Everybody already knew this lil bro

Well I didn’t so I guess not everybody knew it. Debunked.

Well considering it was discussed extensively, you must be living under a rock. You easily couldve googled “wow hardcore unstuck” to see if itd work in the first place and you wouldve immediately known not to do it.

you wanted to get unstuck. and you did :expressionless:

Unstuck moves you to the nearest graveyard in Classic though.

You were put near the entrance, but you went there yourself.

I really dislike the HC community some times. I know this issue has been documented but it’s reasonable to assume that Blizzard’s own in-game technical support won’t irreversibly kill your character.

No. It wont kill you. The unstuck feature moves you to a safe place. To the nearest GY. You die from that point on, then it is your own fault.

Unless I am misunderstanding, the unstuck feature does not discriminate between ‘safe’ graveyards for your level range and/or faction, so it is perfectly possible to be teleported within the immediate aggro range of a high-level mob?

I watch heaps of rip clips which helps me know what not to do, and where to not go lol.

I wont even blink in SW, go over a bridge without jumping on it first or go down elevators lmao. I definitely wont use unstuck feature lol

Yea I have been put into a GY that had hostile NPCs near by. But there is always enough time to get out of it when that happens.

Worst case scenario though, your unstuck could port you over to a GY that is in a different zone if the nearest GY to you was in that zone if you were playing close to that zones borders. And the higher the level the NPCs are over you, the more easily and further away then can detect you.

It does not.

Porting you into skull elites is not safe

There have been other reports that this is not always the case if you have bad luck with patrolling mobs.

But even if it were, that still is not very reasonable IMO. This is tech support, not gameplay.

Unstuck should be removed unless it moves you to a major city. Triple it’s cool down to compensate

I have no sympathy for people who abuse the unstuck feature :expressionless:

Never heard of the problem before myself. Probably would never have tried it anyway, but I definitely won’t now if I’m ever in that situation.

This is a great example of why Blizzard should implement my idea of giving people a zero aggro radius buff when they DC and log back in (until you move or take some action). If you didn’t die to something you were in combat with already when you DCed, you’d at least be able to safely log in and look around to see what situation you were in and decide what to do from there. If you were near a bunch of elites or in a respawned camp or whatever, you could ask/wait for help or wait for other people to come by.

They could even just let you hearth without losing the buff. Previously someone mentioned that would be abusable, but I don’t really see why it would be an issue in that situation. It wouldn’t make you drop aggro with anything you were already in combat with, so you couldn’t unplug to survive.
