Gnome dose not break the rules of the game but you most def can use it in ways that do and has resulted in bans.
Do keep showing your lack of ability to understand the exact reason you are banned there are legal ways to use addons and there are illegals ways.
That blue post was pointing at the same it’s not illegal to use gnome and there is a few blue posts saying that but there is also many cases of bans abs blue posts for using it in ways not allowed.

The problem with your logic here is that you’re essentially saying that at one point in WoW’s lifetime, Blizzard expected 12 million people to use addons nicely instead of just protecting the lua to disallow exploitative behavior.
Blizzard is absolutely ignoring this game about as bad as any gaming company can, but they’re not stupid when it comes to actually developing the tools within, especially considering the Lua API has been in development for 20 years.
I heard an equally unconvincing story once about some forbidden fruit. I can tell you it was also a pile of BS.
