Please Blizzard, if you go the route of rolling back anniversary servers, have enough sense to not roll back hardcore.
Hardcore is 100% NOT affected by your massive mistake Blizzard.

Is there any known instance of server rollbacks throughout the history of WoW?
Nobody’s getting rolled back. Nobody’s getting banned either. Rest easy.
Many, especially pre-1.12 with server stability issues.
Your Hardcore character will get rolled back and you’ll log in to your character at the bottom of the lava lake in Blackrock Mountain.
Is there a source for this? I’d be interested in reading about it.
I’m also curious as to what people mean by “rollback” — I assume they are suggesting restoring data to a previous point, and not a code rollback, which potentially wouldn’t impact items like Chronoboons from SoD in Anniversary, such as in this case.
There is an item that’s sort of famous for having existed on accident that was later removed from loot tables, but I haven’t found any indication that a “rollback” having happened is documented.
