Logged on today to see the new heritage armors. I was close to exalted with Org anyway so I figured I’d cap it out and race change. After doing so, the Orgrimmar rep is now Honored and Silvermoon is Exalted instead. For those interested this was ToniDKuma-Blackrock before the change, the API shows my exalted status before the change.
Just wanted to give a heads up for those that may have the same idea as me. Already put in a ticket to see if they can either fix it, or reverse it.
I already hit Exalted before the race change, though. The problem is the reputation changed afterwards. Heck, I’m wearing the Org tabard right now cause I changed immediately after hitting Exalted.
In order to earn a races heritage armor, you have to earn rep and level using that race. It’s not something you can get around by race changing a bunch of times.
“**If you convert between two non-Allied races, your character’s home-city reputation converts to your new home city, with other racial reputations subject to default conversions.”
so i assume your Silvermoon rep was neutral and overwrote your exalted Org rep
I thought the no race change was just to get heritage armor for Allied races not core. Core races typically just required exalted with home faction. For humans all it says for requirements is :
Be a Human
Be level 50 or above
Reach Exalted reputation with the city of Stormwind
That is not correct. Only Allied races are required to level to 50. I have race changed my Human DK into a Dwarf DK because his Reputation with Ironforge was Exalted. I have the heritage armor on them.
May I ask where you found this, as I’ve only seen talks of Allied races.
After a bit of digging I found this article. I really wish they’d put a “Your reputations will be affected” on the race-change screen in-game instead of in an article on the website.
Looks like I’m just a bit of a dingus and gotta do the grind again lol.
