It would!
Maybe a special brawlers guild type thing for veteran players where we solo mobs and each is worth a level

5K across multiple pieces of gear across multiple sets is a big yikes. Lets assume your 5K number is true, and actually look at the bare minimum for having the option to level at full heirlooms for any given class.
Heirlooms cost 100K to 110K assuming that you are doing the bare minimum for some heirlooms. Heirlooms, in their current state, are not worth nearly a full WoW token.
The shift away form these being as useful made this problem a whole lot more noticable. If you wanted to skip upgrading three pieces of Heirlooms during BFA because you would get more use out of azerite armor, you could. Now, you can’t even do that.
I am leveling 8 alts at the moment and I really haven’t noticed any problems. Have 2 in Draenor, 2 in BFA, 1 in Cata, 2 in Legion, and 1 in Pandaria.
I bet that you don’t have enough for long boi mount with 5m price tag. Heirloom prices we can afford easy. There’s some things you have to earn long way. Inspect me for my long boi if you dare.
I’ve now leveled 2 toons since pre-patch.
All the way to 50.
I don’t think you know what “Broken” and “beyond repair” even mean.
They’ll never stop.
Woot! Way to make use of those heirloom bonuses!
I’d rather have a 6 hour leveling time with no heirlooms than a much longer leveling time with heirlooms honestly
the point of heirloom was to level faster, and now leveling overall is a lot faster. can’t see how people are complaining lol
The only think that felt out of place was waiting till 50 for HoA. But at the same time it made feel better about mindlessly upgrading my neck slots when they released the upgrades. I did it then thought crap we get HoA why did I just waste all that gold… not a waste now lol
I leveled two to 50 this week. I experienced a few problems, especially with the first character I tried. But it is definitely improving. This is the first time I’ve leveled in retail since MoP, and I’ve had a blast.
You exaggerate ridiculously. Yes, it isn’t “100% perfect”. But it is probably 99.5% perfect. That’s far from the “broken beyond repair” that you claim. And your 3d example (heirlooms) isn’t even a bug! It just doesn’t do what YOU want.
Well maybe if you selected Cataclysm via Chromie Time you would be able to.
The instances you have available in LFD are determined by your expansion selection in Chromie Time. If you don’t use Chromie Time, even if you level elsewhere, the game will assume you’re doing BFA content and give you BFA dungeons.
I would rock the crap out of that. Not so much for the levels, but because it sounds fun.
Need Master Blaster and tina turner.
Two enter one leaves…
What are you talking about? I would say it’s too fast.
I leveled to 50 in Pandaria, took me about 12-16 hours. I got through 2.5 areas.
Bugs? There was one quest that took about 20 minutes to complete because it was bugged. Layer problems? None. Heirlooms, decided not to use them.
Cool story, no looms and I still hit level cap in 14 hours played. Not hard, get good and stop complaining just because you are bad at the game
I leveled a Shadow Priest with a friend during prepatch and didn’t notice any phasing issues or bugs of any kind (though the fact that you get yanked out of Chromie Time once you hit 50 is godawful).
That said, my friend did have problems with the phasing on the SW throne room for the cloak chain. He had to drop the quest and relog a bunch of time to get it again and have Anduin in the right phase.
All I’ve been doing is leveling alts. There was a problem with not being able to start BFA on the Alliance side but that issue at least for me is fixed. Leveling all my many alts in pre patch has been fun and I’ve made great progress.
It’s your choice not to level any alts. Personally, I’m having fun doing so.
The new leveling process and level squish was quite possibly the largest most involved thing the dev team has ever took on. Top that with adding an expansion at the same time… of course there will be issues. But its the best thing that ever happened to this game. Once they get all the bugs out you will see.
Now is precisely the time to level alts.
Before the investors get mad that nobody is buying boosts anymore and they make blizzard triple the leveling time.
