Fresh classic servers wipe the progress of hard earned items and achievements in the original game.
With new fresh servers, people would be forced to play the game over and over again, and progress would be wiped.
Guilds would most likely force guildes to reroll on fresh servers or be “left behind”.
Current population who are relatively new would be ‘tricked’ to reroll on these servers due to false hype and be forced to waste even more hours to play the game just to reprogress again.
If fresh servers were a thing, gold boosters and account boosters would advertise #Fresh wildly and without restraint on chat and trade channels and create false advertisements to the player base to play on a so called ‘Fresh Server’ and sell it as a better option.
This creates a new opportunity for gold sellers and boosters to sell gold and boosting services at an all-time high because the economy is new and cancels away any inflation that was working against these gold sellers in the first place.
‘BuT mE wAnTs To ExPeRiEnZ EvEryThInGz…’
And, that is not a problem and you do not need so called ‘fresh servers’. Instead of wiping everything from the beginning, again you can do things like…
-create a level 1 toon
-create new monthly events that opens a particular global server events which people can experience (e.g. Re-opening of AQ Gates for the entire server)
-scale ranking items to phase 6 to get people to rank again
-World pvp events (gold drop off players who are killed in the open world)
-new world pvp events and BG (South shore vs tarren MILL,) x items or y crafting materials are obtainable through these events
-open cross realm but make server economy, nodes, and rare spawn server specific
-option to reset your character to level one again, (and maybe) have all your raid gear be usable and scale according to your current level and offer a reward for hitting level 60 again (e.g. 30 days free game time for classic servers) to promote a healthier 1-60 levelling experience that everyone can enjoy
Etc etc
BOOM. There you go. An authentic wow classic experience that enables healthy population, takes away toxic power from an elite few, content re-experiences and many more in line with the spirit of no changes, without the need for a so called ‘Fresh Realm’
I come from playing vanilla private servers extensively before, and, the truth is, most people advocating for fresh realms have an insidious motive behind them, and have a reasonably high likelihood to want to control classic 's economy via RMT through nefarious WAYS.
There are a 1001 ways to extend wow classic’ s life indefinitely and fresh servers, is definitely not one of them.
