If you go alliance in burning crusade you are literally shooting urself in the foot by purposely gimping urself. World pvp will be dead in TBC due to flying, battlegrounds will be pointless and will hardly be a thing. Arena is where the core of PvP will be at and that’s not ‘‘horde vs alliance’’ it’s just ‘‘player vs player’’.
As for PVE, horde will also get pally so you no longer have an excuse to play alliance in TBC unless for some reason u do it for RP reasons (<— lol)

You guys seem to have forgotten that in order to get the off pieces each season you need to collect BG tokens.

Such a stupid post. Many of us are NOT min/maxers and play the game for the sheer enjoyment of it.
I have never played Horde and never will. I KNOW I’m not alone. Even many of those that play both have a preference for Alliance and will be playing that faction primarily.
Folks like you are what’s wrong with this game and contributed to what’s going on in Retail.
The highest rated 2v2 in the world will be NelfDruid/HumanRogue and 3v3 DwarfPriest/HumanRogue/GnomeMage. Calling it now. People who think Ally are are bad in TBC arena have no idea what they’re talking about.

Yeah, it’s a joke that some people care about aesthetics and animations. All the time and money spent to create how a character looks and moves. This whole game could be played with just stick figures and that money could be used elsewhere. With stick figures people would pick based on the only thing that matters, dps. And with stick figures the game would run much faster.
Shadowmeld is criminally underrated in pvp. And no, I’m not mistakenly thinking of retail Shadowmeld.
I’m probably still going horde so I can be a blood elf. 
I was never a person that gravitated to FotM classes/factions. I think trying to play the class you like as best as you can is rewarding enough.
This is a ridiculous take. Who would want to play a game with stick figures? WoW is about immersion in a fantasy world.
Playing Ally on tbc is like playing ret in classic

I know Alliance guilds that plan on just straight up rerolling Horde in TBC, quite a few in fact. I dont think alliance realizes how vastly out numbered they are going to be in TBC. Its better to just play on the winning side rather then suffer because you wanna be a snowflake ‘‘look at me i dont follow the meta im better then u cuz i play for fun!!’’
When classic came out, I rolled a mage, like you. It’s what i played in retail for a long time so I thought it would be great to experience what mage used to be like.
I was dead wrong, the class was incredibly boring to play, even if it was really powerful. I rerolled to a paladin and while ret isn’t even remotely as strong as pure dps classes like rogues, warriors and mages, i find it to be much more enjoyable and engaging, because i stopped comparing it to pure dps classes.
I’m a hybrid, what i bring to a group, a raid, pvp, is utility. Sure I could “just play holy paladin” but rets bring more than just pure damage that people forget about, and the class designers of classic WoW have even said this.
Obviously bringing utility alone isn’t a good thing, which is why you don’t bring 8 ret paladins, but this concept that you shouldn’t have ret paladins at all is silly.
The only reason you get away with playing ret is because you rolled on a PVE realm. Try it on a more serious & competitive server and you won’t even see an UBRS clear.
