After failing to the final boss on Hard mode last week in Mechagon, my group and I decided to reclear the instance today and give it another shot. Most of the bosses are fairly easy on hard mode, besides the last boss. We ended up spending about an hour and a half on the last boss before finally killing it. After killing it, my group recieved no achievement, and no one got the mount. I opened a live chat ticket for support, and the GM made it very clear that they are in no position or merit to solve this problem. So I say again, DO NOT CLEAR MECHAGON ON HARD MODE IF YOU ARE DOING IT FOR THE MOUNT OR ACHIEVEMENT, YOU WILL GET NEITHER AND BLIZZARD WILL NOT HELP YOU.

You might wanna post your “concerns” on the Dungeons forums though. You’ll reach a larger audience.
Sounds like you didn’t make the requirements for the achievement, and GMs are hands off on that.

We did it last week and got the mount and achievement? As did two other groups in my guild that I’m aware of.
If it was a bug, I’m sorry that it didn’t work out for you. Bugs suck.
It was definitely a bug, our group killed the boss a split second after we died to the hard mode mechanic. It blows my mind how much technology the GMs lack. They lack the simple ability to see what we died to. Absolutely mind bogglingly stupid.

'cause now I agree with the GMs; you killed King Mechagon, but you let the bomb go off and failed hardmode. Sucks, do it again next week.

Depends if the boss stayed dead I guess. Because if it saved with the boss dead, that’s a clear even if the wipe crossed in the mail.
Goodness knows sometimes weird things happen in this game.

Yep, got loot in the mail and boss is marked dead in the lockout.
The achievement is for the detonation to not happen. The detonation happened, ergo no achievement.
The achievement isn’t killing the boss, the achievement is doing all the detonations correctly. You screwed up one and didn’t get the achievement. GM did nothing wrong, this is a simple matter of get good.
I did it last week with a group, nothing bugged about it.

Yeah but if the boss doesn’t respawn that’s not right either. Either the detonation wipes you and the boss resets, or it counts.
It sounds like the boss kept going and died to dots after the wipe instead of resetting, which means the the encounter is bugged.
