The Vault gives S1 rewards today. Meaning if you go for tokens, it will be S1 Tokens. These can only be Vendored for 500g each.
The vendor has S2 stuff that requires S2 Tokens.

of course it’ll be s1 tokens. there’s no shot they’d give us s2 tokens for doing s1 content last week.
6 tokens is 3k gold. I doubt whatever piece of gear you take would fetch over 90g. Unless you want to take something to catalyze into a season 1 tier set piece, the tokens are worth. Same exact value as using the token at the vendor next to the vault during season 1. 1k gold per 2 tokens.

I don’t understand, if the great vault only gives season 1 tokens and the vendor requires season 2 tokens, how do you get season 2 tokens? It’s ridiculous that we are in season 2 but can only get season 1 algari tokens.

If this is still true, I apologize. I’ve never looked, been lucky with vault drops. I doubt it though.

The vault gives tokens for the season you earned the rewards in. If you have an unclaimed vault from Season 1, that will give season 1 tokens, which was very prevalent for folks during the first week of Season 2 as every vault was filled with Season 1 activities. Now, that only happens for characters who haven’t opened a vault in the past two months, since the start of the season.
Any tokens you choose instead of a season 2 gear piece will be season 2 tokens of merit exchangable with the token vendor.
That’s because it doesn’t drop season 1 tokens anymore on account of us being in season 2 now.
