While their self-healing doesn’t really exist, the fact that their MS alone does unreasonable damage and they can train the softest plate wearer (DK) is just beyond me. Why would you buff them in PvP for 10.0.5?
At this point I might as well reroll Arms only to finally get nerfed a few weeks in when the devs realize how broken PvP melee is at the moment (physical dmg)
they arent as tanky as you, do less damage, do less aoe, are you are better into melee counters but because warrior does well into dk you dont want them buffed ? am i getting that right
Arms, Fury and Feral are the only pure phys DPS specs left. These are the ONLY two classes that can answer DK’s insane passive anti-magic and AMS. Arms buffs will make them incredibly viable into DK and DK needs to be vibe checked hard right now.
I’m hoping that by the end of February we get real class tuning set in stone for the rest of the season, by then majority of the player base should have full 424 gear and tier. We should be able to see how every class/spec pans out with the exception of full sockets not that it would make a huge difference imo.
Also by then we would have the first AWC finished so the player base and blizz see what’s happening at the highest level.
BM and Outlaw, true. But the others have a mixture of phys and magic damage like explosive shot, arcane shot, serpent sting, sin rogue loses a lot of damage on poisons, and sub deal a big chunk of shadow damage. So they’re not TOTALLY useless against DK, but DK automatically mits a lot of damage via spellwarden and AMS that makes up a good chunk of “physical” DPS kits
this is the first season a warrior spec isn’t the highest represented dps class in the game in the past like 30 seasons, dont worry they’ll get buffed thru the roof soon enough
If ignore pain means Warriors win another 2-3 games out of 100, and it will, Warriors will be at the top at least in terms of melee. Might not dethrone SP just yet. Add a few class nurfs everyone knows are coming, and Warriors will be golden.
shows how many seasons you have played. warrior rep over the years is a lot lower than you think. go back and do some research. hunter and monk are the only ones who average lower play rate lock used to when it was a lot harder of a class to play except when it was overtuned it jumped up pretty high
some classes rep doesnt jump very much historically when they are overtuned. hunter and monk dont really jump, when lock jumped it 2-3x and in bfa destro jumped 4x, warrior didnt jump very much until shadowlands but most classes who historically didnt jump that much shot up in shadowlands
Yeah, I don’t buy it. Monk sure have dropped since the nurfs, like… a lot. Went from 4th best melee to #7 almost half of the Monks have been farmed out of top 1000 and top 5000.
The opposite is true as well, if you buff monk back to what it was, Monk would shoot right back up and would be ~2x the rep it is now.
Ret got buffs we gained, Monk got nurfs they lost Rep. Lock got nurfs it lost rep. Enhance got nurfs it lost Rep.
Works every time for every class, unless you get a nurf and a bunch of other classes get huge nurfs.
i can’t imagine they don’t bring ms top end damage down when they touch overperformers
comps where arms gets to play the game and worry less about how fragile they are are over the top because of the damage profile forsure (wpx a big one)
arms with ignore pain will feel WAY better and make the spec feel a little more versatile
but yolo 150k ms probably should get redistributed along with decree/reck
I just gave you examples of how nurfs and buffs have change the Rep in the very season we are in.
Ret and Enhance were holding hands around 5-6% each. Enhance got a nurf and is sub 3% Ret got a buff and is over 8%. SP was 35% they got a nurf and are at 28%. Demo was around 18% after their nurfs down to sub 12%. Monks were around the 11-13% area and are now 7% after the nurfs.
How many examples do you need? If you gain relative power you go up in Rep, the more power you gain the more drastic the change in Rep is.
Arms is already almost at 15% of melee, Warrior is already over represented. In a balanced PvP world each melee class would be equally represented.
In terms of melee… 3 melee classes are hogging 56.84 % of the ladder DH, DK, War.
