Please do not bring master loot back for dragon flight in any form ( group loot counts as form of master loot )
We all know why it was removed. People were robbed of loot and enjoyment under the disguise of “what would help guild prog faster”. There is no need for master loot to exist. People in world 500 guilds will be using master loot and liquid and echoes rules and healers will never see loot and non meta dps classes will never see loot.
Please keep personal loot only.
Wdym they never see the loot? They get to see the loot in front of them before they’re told that they don’t sim the highest for it and to pass.
They get to see the loot at the same time as everyone else, they just don’t get to keep it! And then, they get to see it again when they inspect the meta dps player who won it!

Naw. I’m super casual, but I love master loot. It just feels better to actually have the boss drop loot, rather than it spontaneously springing into existence.
I’m looking forward to doing just M+ and PvP in DF and abandoning raiding entirely and this sort of thing cements that I think I’ve got the right idea about that.

No its coming back, and never again will that boss drop 4 rings that no one needs ever again. It will instead drop plate and str 1handed weapons that no one can use because all of our plate classes rerolled evoker.
OP is a Cutting Edge raider.
If you can find OP a guild that raids at the same time that he raids, on the same server that he raids, with the same level of progression as OP, with the same overall vibe as OP, who will reserve a spot for OP, then that is a legitimate counterpoint. Otherwise, you’re presenting a false choice. OP most likely does not have an option. OP will need to continue to raid with the same guild OP raids with now, but loot will be funneled away from OP towards underperformers because said underperformers “sim higher”. And OP will simply have to stomach it, because OP is also a high-level PvP player and also a high-level key pusher, and wants the loot from Mythic Raid to engage in other forms of play.
It’s easy to say “go find another guild” when you don’t actually do anything in the game. Casual Andys don’t get how much of a chore it can be to get all the loot you need in this game to engage in high-end content, and Mythic Raiding is just another chore you have to engage with and most people are not going to disrupt their status quo to pander to your ideological theory-based argument. They’re just going to stomach it and have less overall fun with the game.
