I would imagine this question is asked a lot, but I couldn’t find the answer searching the forum. I apologize if this is asked a 100x a day and I just suck at searching.
Do Mistweavers keep Spinning Crane Kick as they level, or is it one of those abilities that disappear with leveling? Thanks for answers.
Thanks, y’all! Are MW’s as easy as most other classes to solo to 60? I want a Monk, but I don’t like WW under 20 (it seems too much like Outlaw Rogues under 20, and after fully leveling 2 Rogues as Outlaws (I changed my Horde one after leveling), I’m all set with that). BM doesn’t appeal to me. Thanks for any further advice!
Yeah, you can solo mist to 60. Probably not as fast as another class, but since this is an alt you can just feed them AH gear or heirlooms and be fine. In fact, it’ll probably give you good intro skills for fistweaving.
Ack! I meant BM seems like too many buttons, and as a Huntard main (since day 1 of WoW; I started with a Tauren that sadly no longer exists), I need minimal buttons. Sorry for any offense; it wasn’t intentional. I just meant that it seems to be a class outside of my playstyle.
But maybe I should step out of my comfort zone and try it before being all judgmental and stuff. The only thing I am stuck on for this alt is Velf race and some form of Monk.
I mean sure, you could, but it’s gonna be extremely slow compared to ww or even brew.
If you’re even asking that though, then you’ve probably leveled something in heal spec before. If that’s true then you already know what you’re in for.
If you’re dead set on solo leveling as mw, then I would suggest waiting until 9.1.5. You’re gonna be able to level in torghast, and if that route is available before 50 (not sure) then that’s your best bet. Mw is one of the best specs in the game to solo torghast.
Keg smash, breath of fire, blackout kick and spinning crand kick.
I can give you my macros that put chi wave and tiger palm into /castsequence so that you only ever really press 4 buttons.
Also, as far as too many buttons, if you’re just solo questing you can basically ignore your defensive cooldowns unless you’re in a sticky situation. You will pretty much never need them unless you are trying to solo group content.
Brew is an awesome spec to level in because you can easily pull large packs of mibs and just mow them down with aoe, and afterwards heal yourself to full basically for free. You’re beefy enough (with proper gear) to solo elite mobs and group content. Mist will really struggle with that.
Also, as far as being OP is concerned, monks are fairly gear dependent for both better and worse.
Pros: we scale well with gear and tend not to fall behind as expansion power creeps.
Hahaha, it’s not often you see monk being called OP here on these forums. Sadly though, we’re just a healer like any other.
Holy paladin has the highest dps at max level, but before that disc is probably gonna have the most dps. No matter what healer you pick though, they will barely have any multi target damage potential which is gonna really slow you down.
They’ll be at least 2/3rds behind in single target too.
