I mean lowbourne I guess could have been a way to insult the majority of the Night Elf society who weren’t the highbourne… low elves might be a way to insult half elves if more of them existed… idk.

I think regular born is better.
Could be changed up to soft born for the high born, regular born for those who have more average lives and then hard born for those who get to struggle extra.
What little I remember from the elf lore I believe the low elves were the night elves.
What even is an ordinary Elf these days lol.
I was always under the impression that the Highborne and High Elves were named as such to feed their ego and supposed superiority. When the Highborne were exiled and became the High Elves, I imagine they carried the ‘High’ over for similar reasons.

Highborne Elves (especially NIghtborne) call anyone not a Highborne “low born”.
They call themselves “Night Elves”. Pretty much every other form of Elf views them akin to how a Northeastern socialite views someone from West Virginia.
Lowborne would be the normal night elves you see running everywhere, including the Malfurion and tyrande.
Blood elves / high elves are highborne that mutated past the need for the well of eternity while in the Eastern kingdoms (or turned to the sunwell that they made using water from the well of eternity)
Nightborne are just those night elves (mostly magisters) that were in suramar, which disrupted the legion portal and decided to hide away. They sated their thirst for the well of eternity by making the nightwell using the eye of aman’thul
Lowborne are the Keebler Elves who make all the cookies.

Night Elves were lowborn elves.
Some of them. They do have Shendralar amongst them now.
