I like farming old raids for transmog on all my characters. Warlock seems to be the only class that does not have an instant AOE, unless I am missing something. Currently playing Destro and except for the one that has a 30 second cooldown, all we have is hellfire that requires shards. Do we have anything in either Afflict or Demo that would be say on par with Shadow Priest and their AE attack (name escapes me. Its like our soul steal)
Demo has demonic strength, HOG (which can have additional enhanced aoe from azurite traits), and felguard will also do Legion Strike. Demo has an Aoe CC with shadowfury.

As destro you have cataclysm (30 sec cd), rain of fire (not hellfire) and then you gotta choose channel demonfire from the last talent row since you probably don’t need dark soul instability to farm low level content. Only instant one is rain of fire though and requires 3 shards as you said.
MInd you, problem with locks is not the lack of aoe spells, it’s the lack of passive cleave in their regular rotation. Destro’s only one is Fire and Brimstone which is a talent and completely obsolete for current content although it might suit you better for trash killing in old raids.
In any case, locks have the advantage of a tank pet but if you want to kill trash packs super fast, you’re better off with a melee class.
Couldnt remember the name. Im just farming old transmog. I have a lock, this rogue, hunter, Paladin and shadow priest. I just started farming with the lock, so I wasnt sure if there was a spell or talent I was missing for AOE besides Cata and RoF. Something relatively constantly available vs 1 at a time or Cata

If it’s for low level content, or old content, use Fire and Brimstone.
Your incinerate will hit all targets around the primary. It’s great for farming and clearing old content since destro has no spammable AOE
