Do let’s say the leak is true, does that offer a mutually beneficial ending

And both factions walked right into a trap because they worked off the information from a single faction’s spy network, which was infiltrated when a single guy was replaced by a Dreadlord.

And now that I’m thinking about it, does anyone other than the Uncrowned even know what happened to Shaw?

I like the idea of a raid on Stormwind but the rest of this is kinda stupid. Seems really dumb how we die to enter the Shadowlands but then Gnome/Goblin tech is what allows us to travel between the two. I kinda fear that this is going to be what happens…

So… does the giant pile of dead heroes just vanish from Stormwind Harbor? Is Stormwind magically repaired? What happens there after all of this goes down?

It would not offer a mutually beneficial ending, and in fact if it’s true, it screams of favoritism towards the writer’s current vision of the Horde, while tossing Thrall and others who are the last dregs of what the Horde was originally envisioned as by the writers under the bus.

It would basically be saying that every horrible thing the Horde has done, every weirdly contrived bit of cruelty, was totally justified and for a ‘greater purpose’. It would of course enshrine Sylvanas as a messiah/saviour, and it would allow them to gloss over the fact that no one else on the Horde knew about it, meaning they were supportive of her and all the stuff she’d already done, unaware of her ‘plan’.

It would remove any chance at all for revenge by the Night Elves, but that was already on the table. Tyrande ‘kills’ Nathanos, then dies, and they both pop back up in the Shadowlands? It basically would mean that not only will the Alliance not really defeat the Horde, but even worse, they were dumb for trying because Sylvanas was actually the ‘big hero’ all along, and nothing the Alliance did was ever helpful at all.

It would cut night elves out of the entire xpac story, as well, because guess what? Night Elves don’t go to the Shadowlands when they die. So my main, a nelf, wouldn’t be able to go at all, it wouldn’t even make sense as the ‘champion’ character. A night elf player character has done so much with and for Elune that going to the Shadowlands for realsies (not counting player death in game) is an impossibility.

The only ones who would like it would be the Sylvanas stans, and it probably wouldn’t even be a good one for them because the war would be completely over and she wouldn’t have won.

No clue most say she always has been or her deal with helya did it ir a deal with an off screen power or her death angels. Sylvanas has plot level powers now.

Alliance players have not caught on to the fact that the reason Sylvanas is written as playing 4D chess is because the Alliance otherwise would have to lose several iconic characters to maintain parity with the Horde or would otherwise have to actually become morally grey, to the protestation of many would-be Alliance fans.

The Horde has to outwit the Alliance, otherwise Jaina, Anduin, Tyrande, Velen, and Malfurion would have to die.

i think that blizzard could have wrote a solution for the imbalance of power wihout killing anyone.
IE by splitting the alliance between those who want war and those who wants peace, this could have written better before war of thorns.
Now is too late.

We did revive them.

As Dark Rangers.

Not really, there was no soldiers at teldrassil at that moment.
i think that you are referring to darkshore.
i said teldrassil.

Why valen you can have jaina and andui. The nigh elves are a no after teld but why valen he doesn’t do anything and horde and alliance members proved we can beat the old man up. Maybe you can take the gnome kind so allisnce can slowly lose tech and be the noble savages lead by turelion and the night elves.

I don’t think it’s an ending anyone’ll like. I certainly don’t.

I get a feeling that they’re doing this to bring back all of the characters they’ve whimsically killed off and essentially ‘soft reset’ the story. Which is cool I guess.

Ultimately, it has a nihilistic feeling to it. Nothing matters, everyone dies, this whole struggle has been for nothing.

That or a ‘war between superpowers is bad because of how catastrophic it is, none of us would survive if we went to war with each other in such extremes’ message.

absolutely not. why do you think that is okay to kill alliance leaders and even gnome boi, of all people?
what we would gain the alliance from that?
what the hell makes you think that the alliance wants to be “noble savages” WTH?

Down boy it is a joke post mostly to wonder why valen was on the list and poke fun at how 2 things 1 people want a more hostile alliance and 2 the noble savsge was a reference to blue warchief ideas guven noble savages is meant to be a horde thing.

It would only be acceptable in my book if the Alliance really hurts the Horde in 8.3 to balance the books and then we go into this rubbish.

alright, sorry is just that sometimes is hard to understand your posts.
your writting is… particular.

Yeah being on a phone dosent help. Anyways i am rarely super seriours i stopped being able to take the story serious awhile back.

Before the Storm says that she can wail and kill an army by making their brains explode, and from both the cinematic and the end of the attack on Lordaeron, she can fly now. She got retconned into being Murmur on a rocket.

Better question: Would people be happy if everybody got resurrected at the end of Shadowlands, so BfA basically just didn’t happen at all?

Seems doubtful, tbh lol. The Silver Hand didn’t even think to tell the Highlord of their own order that a bunch of Death Knights, under the orders of the Lich King, attacked their order hall and killed some people.

Why the heck would the Uncrowned think to tell the Alliance that their entire intelligence gathering network may have been compromised?
