I was wondering if they still the number crunching thing, so everyone is equaled out. Is this true?
Yes Ilvl is very important in PVP
No Ilvl is not very important in PVP
See the above two posts for evidence of what scaling has caused.
Maybe, ilvl is perhaps important for PvP.
This is the best post of all time.
:shakes magic 8-ball vigorously:
‘Most Likely’
It’s most likely not important, unless you have no gear then it’s extremely important
Dont you love seeing that somebody with 190-220k hp starts to walk at your little 100k hp toon excitedly?
That is the moment you realize why thy still sell vaseline.
Damage is scaled so you do the same proportional damage to a higher ilvl player but since the higher ilvl player will likely have better stats/trinkets/traits than someone 30-40ilvl lowers than him, he will do more overall dps and burst harder.
But stats and trait matter more than ilvl, lets say a 410 ilvl has a stat line that’s all over the place and wrong traits just cuz he was focus on ilvl, he would do less damage than a lower ilvl player that has his best stats and traits.
I was dueling a friend lock who had just hit 120 and had like 120k less health than me and I didn’t pop any defensive cuz I wasn’t taking it seriously but he actually bursted me pretty hard and got me to like 30% health in his burst window. pretty good for someone under 100k health.
That’s why I find it funny, even when I had 100k HP starting out, I can easily kill someone with twice my health. Kinda weird.
Its because damage is scaled in arena, when your 100k hp toon do 20k damage, it appear as 40k on the 200k hp toon you’re hitting.
Best thing to do is to equip your best stats instead of highest ilvl.
Thank you… You made my day looool
If you have high ilevel, yes.
If you have average ilevel, maybe.
If you have low ilevel, no.
Everyone is happy.
Does a guardian druid sh!t in the woods?
Gief vendors and get rid of scaling.
