Venthyr just doesn’t feel great in dungeon environment and I’m not sure about when it comes to raids either, obviously the movement ability is helpful but the actual priest ability doesn’t feel great… thoughts? Soulbinds seem rather close t each other.
Mindgames is very good in Raid for Discipline. It’s also very good in dungeons. The only better covenant ability is Kyrian Boon in dungeons for us.
Unholy Nova/transfusion does pretty pitiful healing/damage.
If you’re shadow, pretty similar story there.
Ultimately, pick which one you want unless you’re planning to be pushing very high dungeons/mythic raids. If you are planning those, Venthyr to Necro (in the CURRENT patch state) is a downgrade.
Mind Games is the best thing that happened to Disc since Velen’s Future Sight (which I miss a loooot), the legendary from Legion.
I’ve abandoned my healers in Bfa 'cause I was bored and Mind Games (plus the Penitent One legendary) is the reason i’m considering healing again. It feels so good.

One more thing, I just discovered that at 154 ilevel I can deny the whole damage of most dungeon bosses (normal) only using Spirit Shell + Mindgames/Penance/Mindblast on Schism.

I know alot of people and guides say necro is supposed to be the best (I’m playing holy) and I just don’t see it. I do like Venthyr so I may end up going with them.
Necrolord necrolord. I love it.
Mindgames is regularly my top dps spell or #2 in many fights. It hits hard and combined with schism and penance I can heal groups up like half health very fast. The fast CD also makes it excellent for raids bc is it essentially just another atonement heal. Nightfae got buffed nicely though as well if you want to look into that one.
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiillllllll no. If you’re convinced on not going Venthyr(best for basically all 3 specs) then Boon(Kyrian) is better for disc and the Night Fae one is better for holy/spriest
How can a 45s cooldown is your top or #2 dps? 
That should be smite or mind blast I guess.

Actually Mindgames is quite good, even for holy.
I see you can completely negate some spell effects like Necrotic Bolt from Plaguefall and Necrotic Wake.
Necro and night fae aren’t good for disc. Venthyr is best for raids and kyrian best for dungeons.
If you only want to play holy and shadow, necro would be a good pick.

I went Kyr after using necro in beta. I love Kyr in dungeons so far but didnt try necro in dungeons in beta. I LOVE the Venth area though. My raid team has a full time disc priest and a 2nd holy priest. Im tempted to swap to Venth just because I love the zone/design but I really like boon in dungeons so far…

I chose Necro and I’m not disappointed, but I wouldn’t change from venthyr just for throughput, it’s sims higher I believe.
I’m dungeons, unholy nova and the shield (I don’t remember the name) it’s really fun! You can use it on every pack and heals quite a bit, when everything is dead you channel your shield and gain 50% of absorption and a small buffs.
I guess you should end up picking which covenant suits your play style more than the one who could sim higher
If you’re gonna swap I would say go Kyrian. Necrolord is meh.
Venthyr goes good with 3 specs while Kyrian just Holy and Disc.
Venthyr most popular and strongest with kyrian close second.
Necro weakest and could get buffed so it’s not bad to go necro for future proofing
Night fae will not be touched it’s not as popular but has a ton of hidden power
