Like if I’m in a bg stealthed and a player approaches, do I need to mop fire tag them first?
I don’t know pvp, but convoke hits targets if you are in combat already. so for your question, if your enemy does not attack and you press convoke without attacking with a spell previously, no.
I think this is false, convoke will hit stuff that are in combat even if they don’t hit you. This is why convoke hits trash mobs that do fake rp because those mobs are actually in combat but doing 1dmg to each other.
yeah i saw it yesterday as resto, i pulled " fighting each other mobs " with convoke, but i did not know why.
thanks for info. but even in this case if a target is not in combat, convoke does not hit to it.
I saw it on a guildies stream when they were running a m+. Forgot what but its the one with the big robot that you need to stack when a arrow is on everyone’s head. Right before the boss they went to go pull a pack to get % but the boomie had a brain fart and forgot the mobs doing rp combat are actually in combat and pulled them
No. Any hostile target in range. Don’t need to tag in instanced pvp, not sure about world pvp.
We do seem to need to tag stuff sometimes in the open world, pve as well. It’s a bit weird.
It is absolutely not any hostile target, if you Convoke against a rare spawn sitting there you will not cast any offensive spells. The target has to be in combat, whether with you or another NPC/player
target needs to be in combat, I tried to stealth open convoke on torghast boss and wasted my convoke.
combat that by just face pulling in stealth i assume u were using the prowl anima
Not always though. Instanced pvp they don’t need to be in combat. Pretty sure it’s same for world pvp but could be wrong.
Even then it’s better to get moonfire and star fall up before convoke. That way most of your Druid spells will be star surges.
Yeah I think it follows the rule of “if it’s red it’s dead”
