As the title says: do I need a decent NR set in AQ20? Feral tank, typically in the #2 tank role instead of main in previous content. I’m putting together my set for AQ40, but I’m still missing a fair number of pieces. That’s fine, since I probably won’t be in AQ40 for a couple of resets at least still, but my guild is planning multiple AQ20 runs this week so I’m planning to get a spot somewhere. Thoughts, tips, advice appreciated.
No. If your tanking in AQ 40, you don’t need NR there either.

You just need World Buffs like all the PvE content.
Some NR is helpful for the range tank on Ayamiss (the wasp boss) but it’s not necessary.

No NR gear or any sort of special consumable required.
You do need some ranged, and a hunter for pulling trash packs is extremely useful. You will need a couple priests and/or warlocks to assist the hunter in mana draining Moam and his trash. And you need someone smart enough to click obelisks for Osyrrian plus 19 other ppl smart enough to not click obelisks. Also, too, your raid needs to understand the words “stack up” and “please do not touch eggs yet”.

Unless your DPS is absolutely amazing huhuran will probably kill you when she goes berserk if you don’t have nature resistance.

what you need is to carry the pug that you will be because the raid lead will invite many hunter even if only one mana drain sting can use at the time . also that priest wont mana drain.
What else if you have tant can literally carry the last boss if they are good at it

No, you might need free action potions for the final boss during the time to build up threat. Though the boss does have an iffy rng element in the form of semi-random pillars which need to be activated around him.

AQ20? Not at all. You really don’t even need a proper off tank.
Hunters don’t stack though, lol. Only one is useful, the rest are just there to roll on the warrior gear.

Shaman don’t exist in classic outside of pvp and won’t exist until draenei are introduced.

Having just downed this with my scrub raid last night with 0 NR, no world buffs, and only a few deaths (none of which were from the actual poison volley), I’m just laughing so hard at all the people like this who insisted it would be SO NEEDED for Huhuran.
You don’t need NR gear for 20 or 40.
