As everyone knows, the faction divide is as significant as it has ever been. All top level game play is currently under complete and total Horde domination. (see ladders)
This as in turned tricked down to the casual playerbase with Horde in general have better plays on all levels of play.
So my question is, do Horde players even care?
Eventually this will destroy some area of the game if it has not already.
The solution isn’t combining the factions in gameplay, in lore, in BG’s, in PVE. That destroys the premise of the game.
The solution is Horde players need to take a look at themselves.
At this point if you give a crap about the state of the game and play Horde. The only reason you should continue to be on that faction is if you absolutely NEED to be on that faction to enjoy the game.
And on the flip end. You shouldn’t have to pay to change factions for the good of the game. Blizzard needs to do their part and make faction changes TO the Alliance totally FREE. They need to own up to this problem they created years ago when they gave the Horde OP racials.
I’m gonna catch a bunch of crap for this post but, it’s the damned truth and you all need to hear it.
Also, ignore my Horde character I’m posting with.
Before BFA I faction changed every single character that I actually played Alliance side. For this exact reason.
So I’m not speaking as some whiney Alliance crybaby.

Being allowed to have toons of both factions and faction change pretty much ruined the Horde vs Alliance theme. The question should be.

I don’t care about factions, the only reason I play only horde is because nothing about the alliance intrigues me, they can keep their goody two shoes thingy. For now, all I care about is my level 32 zandalari windwalker named BruceLeeroy that will be leveling this weekend. WOOOHOOOO

I feel like I play both factions equally, or at least try to. When I create characters I make sure I have an even amount for both factions. My all time favorite races are trolls, but I still love the alliance faction. I think my monk on the alliance is actually my strongest character on my account right now.
I’m just gonna continue playing both 
. It’s better that way. Staying exclusive to one faction is boring to me.

Nothing wrong with anyone who plays only one faction though.
How does this affect the game except for PVP? The race between Ally and Horde in raids/PVE doesn’t really affect the success of the game.

It’s already too late. All that’s left to wonder is what the ramifications of Blizzard’s decisions will be. Alliance players will continue to abandon their faction and join Horde where a greater number of progression focused players already congregate.
I personally am tired of wasting my time trying to find the few progression guilds there are that play on Saturday/Sunday. On top of that, I’m lucky to see a handful of m+10s. My progression is limited by the availability of the players. Less players = less options for me to progress. That’s why I’m going Horde…

Alliance don’t have Tauren. I’ve been a Tauren for 12 years, I’m not going to go Alliance because a random forum poster claims I don’t care about the game.
The faction war in the story has been awfully hilarious. In the worst type of way. Honestly just let us group up with the opposite faction at this point. Rather than forcing players to go to the other side, the answer really should be just dismantle the wall. Warcraft III had Alliance and Horde working together to stop the Burning Legion/Scourge towards the end of it, so it’s not that crazy.

I’ve been playing Horde since vanilla. Troll Master Race. GTFO my lawn.
You’ve ALWAYS been able to have toons on both factions, unless you were on a pvp server. So if that ruined everything, it’s always been ruined.

What do you mean, OP? Horde are the players that actually do care about the game. Horde dominates every single aspect of this game except for pet battling.

Alliance will have a resurgence but not this way, this way is not right.

I play Horde now because Alliance is pretty much dead for high end content.
