I’m at the NPC’s and they’re basically just telling me to get bent. There’s some dude with an eagle that’s letting me change… whatever it is (not explained in the slightest)
The only reason I’m even trying to touch this is because the weekly requires me to go on one, Otherwise I’d ignore it because you guys (developers) have the absolutely epically horrendous habit of putting crap in the game, explaining precisely none of it, and us having to go unto wowhead to read a 40 page guide on how your feature works.
Like what the hell am I putting points into? here? what hunting companion? there’s nothing here, am I supposed to have some NPC with me? If the hunt isn’t over then why can’t I participate. there was an hour left when I got here. If I can’t do it don’t show it. and if I can do it. then give me the quest/objectives either the second I’m close enough, or give me an NPC that can get me going.
Or better yet. Don’t put it in the weekly quest. I thought you weren’t going to force us to do crap we didn’t want to. Yet here I am being forced into whatever a grand hunt is.
It was mentioned once during questiing and when I hit the renown requirement and none of these NPCs really say what it is.
Do I just kill difficult stuff? lots of stuff? one thing? 10 things? am I supposed to fish something up?
What am I hunting? Where am I hunting it? How am I hunting it? Why am I being told to go on this hunt when I’m not allowed to?
Edit: Nevermind. I’m not dealing with this ---- a third expansion in a row.

I think they were trying something like the FATE system in FFXIV. The game does not really tell you much about them. I was doing dailies and stumbled into a Hunt…went and killed a giant rhino, and got a mount out of a reward bag. I guess I got lucky, but I had no idea what was going on, I just followed the instructions flashing on my screen and followed the crowd…haha
Cool mount tho. Absolute Unit…he is a big dome-headed mammoth.

Someone picks it up as a quest. It then begins the hunt for everyone on the server block.
None of the Grand Hunts seem to work. Haven’t been able to get a single one to do anything. Buggy as all heck.
- See the hunt horn in an area. Go to the area. The horn disappears.
- Get to the area. If lucky maybe find a centaur hut with some NPCs, but zero indications of what to do. No bars, no blue quests, no interactions saying anything with the NPCs other than set appearances, etc.
- Get to the area, see other people doing stuff that looks huntish… join in, but nothing happens when it all clears.
Completely unimpressed with Grand Hunts so far. Enjoying dragon riding, but a lot of the other bits are very poorly worked.

sounds like pebkac, 99% of the time the hunts work just fine, hell, sometimes you’re just flying by and complete one lol.
I went to the hunt area when it started, killed a couple things and left to do quests. The hunt went on and I got the reward at the end for doing next to nothing. Not a complaint.
The implementation of this is utter crap. I’ll just assume they half-assed it for release and haven’t bothered to expend resources on it yet to make it viable. Almost nothing is explained on how to do this in game. I assume most of the people arrogantly posting how “easy” it is have already done it numerous times in beta after reading multiple external guides on how to do it. Absolute crap.

Yah I did one yesterday just fine. But today when I actually had the weekly, I went back but couldn’t get any of the various hunt stages to even trigger. Had to leave for work, before testing another hunt, in a different zone.
