I always assumed it was the same till I was in AV on my druid the other day and ran up the west tower in the horde base and none of the guards aggroed on me. I don’t think I have ever been able to run past them on my rogue and not be knocked out of stealth and have to vanish. I have no idea why they would, but I wouldn’t put it past blizz.
nope. the guards have a far aggro range and you’re not getting knocked out of stealth, you just never get to stealth because you wait to late.
Nooooo I was in stealth and tried to sneak past them at the top but they could see me and started attacking. Except when I went past them on my druid who remained stealthed and was not attacked.
is your druid a Nelf?
Back in the day if you were a nelf rogue or cat your stealth was actually better. By like 1 level. I dont think that mechanic was ever removed.
If your druid isnt a Nelf, then i dunno.
I main a troll druid and am leveling a rogue now (53). I have noticed a definite difference in detectability. I can practically run past mobs while just inches away, even right in front of their face without getting seen. As a rogue, if I do the same thing, mobs will turn to look at me and might say something like “what was that?” then agro.
Vice Versa for me. On my Rogue, i can get closer and afk next to mobs while Stealthed and go undetected. Can’t say the same on this Druid.
My druid is a worgen.
