Do Draenei Mages even make sense?

Seems like all the mages of Argus stayed as Eredar, I can’t reall a single Draenei NPC aside from your trainers.

Magical space goats retcon everything so why not

Draenei shadow priests don’t make sense either. Shamans kind of don’t because most shamans are just broken like Nobundo.

The Ancient Eredar culture basically used the Arcane as we use electricity IRL.

Obviously that culture came with them when they ran away from Argus. None of their things would work without the Arcane.

Even now, those floating crystals we see on their cities and armor are Arcane Crystals.

So mages of The Draenei are pretty much their technicians and engineers.

Or, as they call it: Artificers

yes. We can see heavily what mages are in their culture in alt draenor. Obviously that isn’t as prevalent on azeroth because 1) their culture was heavily centered around the light at their introduction and 2) they have suffered many losses since their civilization on draenor so a lot of things are missing. It seems the rangari were entirely wiped out in our timeline though I wish they would bring them back.

Rangari brought out the badass side of the draenei :frowning:

Arcane magic is as fundamental to the Draenei as Elune is to the night elves.

What a bizarre day to learn that someone with as minor a role as Archmage Tamuura has her own action figure.

Guess Basic Campfire has a shot after all.

No, Draenei shadow priests are fine. But Lightforged Draenei shadow priests are crimes against nature…

I think they make much more sense than Draenei Death knights.

Just like Meryl Felstorm, she was an Action Figure first, then she turned into a proper WoW Character.

This is the Original Meryl Felstorm:

Hey now, I was a warrior before I was raised, I didnt choose this path, it chose me.

It’s been about 9 years.

And Non Human / Elf Death Knights still bother me. I get why they did it for a gameplay and cool factor.

But it’s just so odd to me.

Being a Death Knight requires you to die.

If you died, then you must not have made enough good choices as a warrior to keep yourself alive.

Sounds like a bad warrior. Death Knights are just the loser’s bracket :smirk:

Well, can’t be as bad as guitar sliding into a sword.

cough sylvanas.

Yeah but they get an infusion of Frost, Blood and Unholy powers to compensate for that. I wouldn’t underestimate Death Knights.

Depictions of battles are just… representations of the truth, I would say.

Let’s not forget that the original version of Sylvanas’s death had her die to the headbutt of Arthas’s horse.

Invincible is the real person (horse) that Sylvanas should have been vengeful against.

My shouting in their face is just as powerful as any death magic.
