I know they don’t need food and drink anymore, but can they still taste it? If not, how do pandaren death knights not just kill themselves the instant they’re created?
EVERYTHING TASTES LIKE CHIKIN
I imagine that when my character chows down on fresh Raid Feasts that he’s not getting much out of the flavor department and eats out of necessity for the sweet buffs. His sense of taste have been dulled due to the undead rotten tongue.
Because Death Knights lack emotions (at least ones correctly roleplayed) they would not get any sort of pleasure from eating tasty foods even if they could taste properly.
Because alcohol still works. I’d like to know why they even need to breathe still and why they can drown.
because they would just be re-rezed by Bulvar every time they did kill them self’s. It would be point less. lol
Ive forgotten how things taste to be honest. Its been a long time since i tasted anything. I wold love to be able taste a stake again. “Looks at Urmumsacow and licks his lip’s” Yea maybe not i think that stake is a bit out dated.
While in the Scourge, death knights are known to have eaten meals consisting primarily of humanoid meat, vermin, and insects. Some death knights can enjoy alcohol and be affected by its inebriating effects. This, however, is debatable as the only known source is Delvar Ironfist, who was an Arms Warrior in the Warlords of Draenor beta, and his written dialogue remained unaffected when he was changed into a Blood Death Knight.
I wonder what a Pandaren DK chef could do with those ingredients…
For undead death knights, everything tastes extra bad.
They don’t kill themselves. They just kill everything else…and earn their place in the ranks of Death Knights.
My void elf dk will have a deadened sense of loyalty to the horde if that counts
Honestly, depictions of the effects of undeath on the senses range wildly - some (most?) may be deadened, while others might be twisted and corrupted in some freakish way. It isn’t uncommon for some senses to be lost entirely, and that can refer to both concrete and abstract senses - sense of comedic timing was directly called out at one point.
While most such depictions are from NPC commentary from the Forsaken, and Death Knights aren’t exactly that (more “complete”, raised specifically rather than en masse, diverse origins, etc), I’m thinking there’d be enough overlap that one could easily use said depictions as a guideline if nothing else.
Although I’m not a Pandaren DK yet, I do have to say: “There is more to be savored than food. Experiences, such as watching someone slowly bleed out. Watching a starving man wither away while I eat. Wrenching loved ones apart. These are flavor experiences that only the Ebon Blade can provide.”
I don’t do rp, I just figured Deathris here eats/drinks because of social situations.
I would assume a Death Knight would prefer something with more spice for an intense flavor experience. Maybe some with more heat. I assume the same for drinks. Stronger, not necessarily alcohol wise, but flavor intensity. These would allow someone with a dulled pallet to maybe still enjoy an experience while taking part in social experiences.
When I carry food in my bags for a Death Knight, I usually go for something I think would have a stronger flavor pallet.
Do dks even rot? I thought they would have eternal youth since the way they are ress are different to the usual.
