Do alliance actually believe Horde is the "ez mode" pvp faction?

Do people actually not understand how powerful paladins are in BGs? I feel like people who say things like that must be pugging it at the very low end of BG players.

just wait for t3 gear.

I don’t have a pocket Paladin when I PvP. Just focusing on what you currently have, Horde racials are supreme.

In larger scale fights (e.g. AV), there’s probably too much happening for a Paladin to be impactful, making Horde racials supreme.

If you’re thinking AB/WSG, then yes, Alliance can perform better in a smaller scale, controlled fight.

Horde died a few times because of a pally and ignores all the massive advantages he has.

not to mention the fact that a general makeup of horde raid in av being at least 75% orc/undead meaning you cant reliably cc 75% of the horde raid and ya … kinda bad.

all the pros went horde. why?

Only people overly obsessed with world PVP or 1vs1s think horde is better. In BGs and raids; alliance have all the cards in this game. I’d rather have kings and salvation than windfury, btw.

might and kings > damage than windfury anyways. Not to mention it’s consistent and not spikey.

I’d rather have windfury in PvP though, paladins bring nothing to the table for PvP if you scale up past 2vX.

In 1v1 whos better is match up dependant, but orcs/ud have more match ups.

In 2vX, paladin + partner is amazing

In anything with more than 3 players, paladin starts falling off a cliff in usefulness.

Paladins are great when you are in a premade and pug stomp. Pug’s don’t know how to beat Paladins.

But when you’re in organized PvP, Paladins are actually quite weak. Horde typically run caster cleave, and outside of 12 seconds every 5 minutes, they should get 0 heals off (two mages can lock out a Paladin for 20+ seconds).

Elemental shamans are absolute monsters in PvP. They can one shot people every 3 minutes (due to spell batching), have a very short CD ranged interrupt (6s), have better than plate/2H mitigation (mail + shield).

I cast grounding totems, WF is situational but grounding totems are BiS.

Don’t forget it can be 5s earth shock if it is talented.

Yes absolutely. Yes I am tough in PvP, I am durable and can heal like crazy. But it doesn’t matter when I can’t stun Orcs and my whole team is running around feared.

Oh yea, as a Paladin, playing against Mages and Elemental shaman are the worst. The only heal you can get off is Holy Shock. You can try and juke here and there, but with this horrific spell batching, you’re maybe 50% successful.

Basically against a typical Horde caster cleave, a Holy paladin should get off very little heals.

Also Kings/BoP/Freedom is meaningless because you can just purge it off.

In situations where multiple classes with defensive dispels shine, Alliance wins out. In situations where multiple classes with offensive dispels shine, Horde wins out.

Also, playing as a Holy Pally, all the Horde comes after you. I am usually either polymorphed, sapped, stunned, feared or just clobbered by tons of Horde focusing on me.

Why do Horde always win then?

I would most certainly know, a good paladin is a nightmare. An average paladin is not hard to be, I 1v2 a Ret paladin and a druid yesterday. If it wasn’t for my hybrid spec and forced (Heartseeker WPvP can be nuts) know-how to use all my tools to kill them. Paladin never got the chance to by now a second time.
That was a hard, but we’ll earned two Herb nodes.

Confirmation bias, that’s why.
