Do all WoW players listen to the same type of metal?

Also Therion.

Here’s my list of metal/prog metal:
Symphony X (divine wings, V and odyssey are really good), Queensryche, Maiden, Dream Theater, Virgil Donati, Vinnie Moore, Dragon Force, Megadeth, Blind Guardian, McAlpine, man…too many to list

Edit to add: shamefully forgot Ronnie James Dio

My man jim svejda! I wish I could speak as elegantly as him.

Niccolo Paganini could shred tf out of a violin. His Virtuousity made folks think he sold his soul to the devil - in fact he wasn’t even properly buried. He was basically a metal head before his time.

No, not really. I understand Symphonic Metal and to an extent Power Metal are popular due to their fantasy and “epic” sound, but WoW players come from all walks.

Personally while I’m a Metal fan I’ve never been super into either style. My tastes tend to be more on the Prog and Extreme Metal side, with sprinklings of Prog Rock and Jazz-Fusion.

My favorite bands these days are Beyond Creation, Obscura, Alkaloid, The Ocean, Leprous, Haken, Periphery, Between the Buried and Me, Nevermore, Meshuggah, Dream Theater, Fates Warning, Symphony X, Tool, Porcupine Tree, Katatonia, Opeth, Mastodon, Gojira, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Sikth, Devin Townsend, Ne Obliviscaris, Decrepit Birth, Dying Fetus, Cattle Decapitation, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Speticflesh, Anaal Nathrakh, and Enslaved. Just to name the few that came to mind

No way.

Helter Skelter by the Beatles is as close as I get to metal.

Queensryche Operation: Mindcrimes was a great album so was their follow up to it Empire. Vinnie Moore has always been a little underrated in my opinion.

No, I’m not 14 and I don’t wear a trenchcoat.

KMFDM has made some good stuff, about all I listen to in that genre.

Mindcrime is an amazing concept album. So many great songs!

Rammstein is good and all, but Germany has better metal to offer.

so you dont listen to emo pop like my chemical romance. got it

Oh I’m sure folks like other bands. Rammstein is just special for me.

I got into them when I was around 15 or 16. I lived with a very abusive parent and struggled with suicide. But then the Rosenrot album comes out ( aka why my toon has Rosen in the name, Rosenrot was taken ) The very last song actually got me through some bad moments in my life where I nearly did something horrible to myself.

I had it on loop and just felt compelled to sing along and it helped

Wir sind für die Musik geboren
Wir sind die Diener eurer Ohren
Immer wenn ihr traurig seid
spielen wir für euch

Did you try using accent marks? You probably could still get that name lol. I do really enjoy rammstein, but as I’ve matured my tastes have changed somewhat. Not to say that I still don’t enjoy the occasional slipknot, korn, rammstein, etc. from when I was much younger.

I didn’t know how to at the time. I’m quite happy with my unique looking name
