It was always DM for Deadmines. I’ve never said anything otherwise.

Dead Mines existed first, thus is it DM.

Something only has meaning if we choose to give it meaning. The dollar is only worth something because we choose to give it worth.

Anthropologically speaking, the server population will choose what it will be known as.

Dire maul will not even be in the game when we all start running DM just as it was not in the game when we started running DM back in the day.

It was VC (for Van Cleef).

It can really be used interchangeably. If you’re forming a dire maul group are you going to invite “Level 20 priest LFG DM!” ???

I didn’t start playing until 2006, but I can remember back then everyone on my server called it VC. So that’s probably what I’ll call it on Classic.

well i played on horde so it didn’t really matter

whatever anyone wants to

On Horde side we always called it Van.

VC, Diremaul is Dm:N/E/W

For the love of all that is holy.

Dead Mines is DM.

Dire maul is differentiated by adding W, N, or E to denote what wing you are running. For example, “Lf dps for DMN, tribute run”, good look having that be confused for deadmines.

Or better yet, JUST DONT ABBREVIATE. This isn’t the early 2000’s anymore, we’re not all typing with flip phones, just spell out the full name of the dungeon if people are so worried about confusion.
