I’m the only one that finds it suspicious we got DM early? I mean there’s documented evidence of Blizzard saying we’d get a keyring in the first patch… And they go against P2 timeline and give us more dungeons with more keys? Don’t fixate on my literal words, forest through the trees, that’s a pretty big red flag that a crazy change is underway with their strategy…
I haven’t seen a reddit post, Blizzard forum post, or streamer for that matter asking for “more content”… Blizzard has never bent to the community when it pertains to timelines, and with zero community outcry they’re telling us “you asked we delivered”? The most I’ve heard is someone talking about how trolls in Whitemane spam in general that they need more content? Really? This is the counter arguement?
This smells of Blizzard not having a strategy to have all servers down to no layers for old “P2” . They iconically stated “p2=no layers” and now “P2” is changing because of a content drought that doesn’t exist? Again they literally said we’d have a key ring on first patch, and now we’re getting DM, a dungeon with keys slated initially for P2? before a key ring?
I strongly suspect WSG and honour is going to make an appearance as “P2.5” OR we’re about to see a shut off of layers and mandatory transfers to dodge unending ques…
Can someone please walk me through how this isn’t suspicious?
Blue Post, is DM being introduced to classicwow not the “first patch?”
Hello!
Yes, we do have the Keyring coming to WoW Classic. It won’t be available at launch, but it will be added in the first patch.
We don’t yet have a timeframe for the first patch.
The Keyring should function as it did in original WoW 1.12, with the same capacity and key compatibility.
I genuinely feel like people are overthinking every single aspect of every single decision ever made. Seriously. The sky is not falling. They released a dungeon a little earlier than expected. It’s more to do at 60. Not 60? Get 60. Take your time. The only person who cares is you.
Just let them do their thing and focus on BUGS instead of things that aren’t broken.
Yes it is suspicious. Of all the things I have seen, many people in the wow classic community including most if not all content creators have said it shouldn’t be coming out so early.
I’ve developed the opinion that blizzard doesn’t really care and just want to make their short term money.
I think it’s nothing more than an early release to maintain the tempo of the game. Dire Maul now, and the Honor system/Kazz/Az patch soon (late Nov/Dec) will bridge the content lull until 8.3 comes out on live, and phase 3 will come out in april 2020 when the 8.3 raid is on farm.
They stated many times they are releasing content with plans to stagger classic and live against each other so they never have to compete with new patch drops and fresh content. They want people flipping between the games.
Fun fact, April 2020 for phase 3 (BWL) mirrors the vanilla release time frame between launch and BWL coming out. Both are 7 months from launch.
Sigh. You’re right. Might as well unsub. The key ring missing from the DM patch clearly means that the game is unsustainably unplanned and will likely collapse into itself soon.
