DKs and Ozruk

So I’m leveling a DK through the TWDs this week - Blood DKs. How do you escape Ozruk’s shatter? I’m getting slaughtered.

When it comes to tanking, Blood’s probably my 4th favorite so I’m not trying to be the words greatest here. I’m just curious.

you get the 30% speed boost ability at level 42 you should be able to move out of shatter

He always casts it right after Paralyze so pop Death’s Advance (or better yet, Wraith Walk if you have it) and get out of Dodge as soon as that goes out.

In and out. If he is casting thingy, walk out. When he is done, go back in and continue slapping him.

Oh god, I was in that fight a few days ago on the Night elf Rogue. Wasn’t even the Shatter that killed me it was his frontal AoE which I swear to god I was behind him. He just destroyed us and I was left thinking “What can I do different here?”

Did they make it require speed boosts? Back in cata I would tank it by just running out, no boosts.

I don’t think it technically requires one but it can be pretty close without one.

Back in the day we could enchant boots with speed. In SL it’s on the cloak enchant. It’s not much but it helps.

My sword and shield macro saved many a group back in Cataclysm because of Shatter when I was burnt out on tanking. Good times

I wish you could specific queue TW. I would have done all 25 runs Ozruk because it is so satisfying watch half the group pop like balloons.

See ability casting, run out.

Don’t need a speedboost

Unfortunately if they allowed specific queue you would only get certain dungeons replayed continuallly in the random queue.

you always want to throw a DoT on it when his reflect shield’s up, that way when he stuns melee, the damage tick breaks it so you can run out. from there, it’s a matter of timing it right to, “run away, little girl… run away!”
