I am a san’layn blood death knight. I’d like to have red eye options.
I’d really like the flowy red eye color effect on the venthyr plate helm, but the dark ranger red eyes would be a nice option to have available as well.
It’s also something that’s featured on a death knight trainer in Acherus.
Really need colors for each spec, with or without the wispyness.
Probably due to the eyes, they both have custom eyes and it appears the eyes for the Dark Rangers are linked to the model.
I fully support Death Knights getting the red eye option, and a yellowish green option that matches the unholy color.
These three spell schools are iconic to Death Knights and in some cases the NPCs have them in the necropolis.
There’s no excuse to not have green and red choices.
But it does for a Paladin???

elfs and hunters are the only ones that can get it.

Why would a Warrior, mage, rogue, priest, warlock, paladin, druid, and monk want to be dark rangers too? Because those are all classes that have access to this customization, not just hunters. Your argument completely falls apart when you look at the other classes that have access to it. It makes no sense to completely exclude 2 classes from this character customization when all those listed have access to it too. Plus, the red eye option would make a lot of sense for Death Knight since there are Npcs with the red eyes, also, blood death knight talent tree art literally has a death knight on it with red eyes.
I just played through this whole quest line only to find out that my elf death knight can’t use the customizations. It makes no sense from a lore perspective. Arthas raised countless elves as Darkfallen when he attacked Quel’thalas. Darkfallen have red eyes. Dark Rangers are Darkfallen. Elf Death Knights are Darkfallen. They already exist in the lore and in the game as NPC’s. Why is it that I can make a Night Elf Death Knight with the Night Warrior eyes even though that makes absolutely zero sense according to the lore but the red eyes for Death Knights isn’t an option? I want to believe this is just a big oversight on Blizzard’s part because it defies all logic and reason. But then again, so does Shadowlands as a whole…

Both the eyes and skin shouldn’t be linked either.
I’m still bummed they didn’t do a proper darkfallen allied race and just took the easiest route instead of what’d have been the coolest.
Bump, because this is still a stupid restriction. DKs can use the Night Warrior eyes but not the Dark Ranger ones? Blood DKs want red eyes!
If we cant have new races for dh at least give us the dark ranger skin.

I feel like people forget that the Darkfallen customizations isn’t just the eyes. “DHs don’t have eyes so they can’t have the customization,” sure they don’t have eyes, but they do have skin last time I checked.
From what I understand Darkfallen are just elves raised from death. Death Knights are literally people who have died and were raised into undeath, so it’s weird elf Death Knights can’t have those customizations.
Demon hunters can also die, and I don’t know of any lore reason they wouldn’t be able to be raised from the dead. They may not be able to have red eyes, but I see no reason they shouldn’t be allowed to at least have the greyish skin tone.
Why can’t my toon who doesn’t have eyes have red eyes? Make it make sense
Because some of them have taken enough fel magic into themselves that their souls have become demonic too and they are immortal like demons and their souls don’t go to the shadowlands when their bodies die
That is true, but I think the key word here is also “some.” While you could say “the player character canonically has an immortal demon soul if they play a DH,” which while not wrong, I still see no reason DHs shouldn’t be allowed to have the Darkfallen skin. I’m sure there are RPers out there that would (or might already do without the cosmetic option) RP a Darkfallen DH, as not everyone is going to RP as the “the champion.”
