Makes more sense than void elf getting them tbh.
I remember when the âNight Warriorâ black eyes first came out, Night Elf DKs couldnât have it until much later.
Hopefully they do that with the red eyes later down the track for DKs and DHs.
This is why Nelf DH canât have special eyes. Also, theyâre blind.
Night Elves actually get the Night Warrior option for Death Knights. Not DHs though.
Demon Hunters donât have eyes - so it makes sense they donât have the option. Death Knights not so much.
Hopefully they uncouple the skin/eye color in the future and can add the skin color to Demon Hunters at least though.
It doesnât make sense for paladins or voidelves to have the customizatuon either, but both get it. Lore isnt a justification anymore. Just give the customization to every class.
Because Blizzard, though I imagine they will add it to Death Knights eventually.
deathknights are undead and the forsaken are the undead the darkrangers are undead elves. and demon hunters are demons they would just be raised by fel and be more demon not by death magic
Blizzard only wants you to have frost magic eyes apparently.
Ah okay⌠I thought this was just a bug. I thought it was weird that the Dark RAnger NPC was talking about this âgiftâ she was giving us and there was just⌠nothing lol.
Well this is kinda dumb =/ Hopefully just an oversight. Could have been a Dark Ranger, died, and raised yada yada yadaâŚ
They had it early on, then slands prepatch removed it for players that didnât already have it mogged. I know because my nelf DK uses them. I tried to swap to the DR eyes and sad nope.
Lol the new talent tree preview dk has red eyes RIPPPPPP
Neither are demon hunters, and yet they get demon hunter-unique customizations.
IMO the red eyes should be freely interchangeable with any skin - living, the new âdark rangerâ skin, and even death knight and demon hunter skins. Likewise the skin should be available with any face and eye color⌠Because, as you said, they are ârace customsâ, not class customizations.
I just wish we could change the eye color off of blue.
Dark Ranger or not.
lmao.
Probably because of the fact they would feel the need to add red vapor animation like the blue default eyes have, and that they probably wouldnât be able to get away with skin locking the eyes to a specific skin where Death Knights already have a more rotten version of that skin, the fact that it would be something that they couldnât multitask playing Bitlife/Watching TikTok and adding those features together at the same time and thus requires too much effort.
Also, not locking Death Knights to a skin that they have a similar version of already would give Blizz the impression that everyone would cry about not being able to choose their skin and have the red eyes too, which means they would likely feel the need to let players not be locked into the skin which defeats the Dark Ranger aspect of the eyes being added. Even when they could just add the less rotten Dark Ranger skin into the Death Knightâs cosmetic options only used with the red eyes and still might believe people would cry about Death Knights having a new skin related to their class and they didnât get it. So fear would be the cause of that perhaps.
Personally, I think Red eyes should be given out to Death Knights before anything else and itâs super stupid that they canât have them.
As for Demon Hunters, they made their choice to blind themselves and have holes in their eyes where felfire resides in the place of eyeballs and thus gave up their chance at having eye color customizations. Unless itâs to replace the type of demon fire in their eyesockets, like purple.
It specifically says that only elves get the red eyes/dead skin. Blood Elves are amongst the races of elves that are included in receiving this customization and Blood Elves can be Death Knights. The race you choose to play your Death Knight on is literally the race your Death Knight belongs to. Itâs not like only Elf hunters (Except Nightfallen for some reason that has yet to be explained) get the red eyes and skin feature. That would give Death Knights not having the features added some relevance. It also would make perfect sense for a Death Knight to have red eyes.
They are dead, they specialize in the utilization of blood and power via blood. The Dark Rangers are essentially dead Blood Elves and Night Elves since BFA, who were risen by the same type of power that created Death Knights in the first place. The power given to Sylvanas by Arthas.
My paladin isnât a Dark Ranger but currently has the red eyes and skin combo while wearing the 25-man heroic death knight armor.
Obviously, I had no intention of wanting to become a Dark Ranger after seeing the transmog they get is just a recolor of the lfr, honor, baeful, leather set from WoD, the expansion with the ugliest non-tier sets to date. I was expecting some upgraded version of Dark Ranger outfits. You know, the Dark Rangers who guard the horde side of Dalaran? I donât have hunter outfits that fit the look of a Dark Ranger. So my hunter is still a normal Blood elf. I donât want a set that I literally went out of my way to instantly transmog when it was an upgrade item in WoD.
So based on the fact my Paladin is allowed to look the way she looks, I highly doubt that the cosmetic features rewarded were intended to be for those who wanted to be a Dark Ranger.
Hopefully theyâre unlocked for them eventually. Would love to have the red eyes on my BDK Seems a little restrictive with it being locked to a skintone like night warrior eyes were. Hopefully they donât ruin them by changing them too though lol. Miss the old colors so much.
People in this thread are getting hung up on the name âDark Rangerâ as if itâs a hunter only customization option and âwhy would they be a meleeâ.
Itâs not just for hunters guys, itâs for every class those races can be except for DK and DH.
We should just call them Darkfallen because that is what Velonara calls herself and the other dark rangers at the end of the quest. Eliminates the confusion and semantics arguing.
I donât care so much about the eye color but iâd love to be able to use the skin color. The only grayish skin color i have comes with green cuts all over it.
âHunterâ maybe thatâs why some people want it
Me, I am happy with it on my actual hunter.
They felt you couldnât figure out how to acquire it.
