If they want frost and unholy to be go specs that only get 12 seconds every minute to do anything lichborne should also make DK immune to being disarmed. While they are at it making this fantastic change, NERF FROST MAGE

I said this for enhance a while back and it was a terrible idea for many reasons people pointed out, and it is a terrible idea in this scenario too for DK. You cant have an unstoppable go, nobody should, every single go needs counter play unless you commit a major CD to stop the counterplay ie rogue trading cloak or pally trading bubble aggressively.
Things like Conduit being immune to CC are terrible for the game and shouldn’t exist. They could just make it so you are immune to interrupts/knockback effects, that way CC still counters it like it should.
And I dont think frost dk damage/its go timer being 1:30 or 1m sometimes is the problem. Its the fact dk just gets rolled over in the time between their goes because their defense sucks.

Frost is extremely stoppable with simple movement for 80% of specs.
Thats usually why they commit lich or IBF to it sometimes, but yes enhance is too. You can stop an enhance go with just disarm alone as its every 1 min and lasts 8 sec (doom winds), lines up perfectly, and enhance has less mobility than dk now as well so can be kited easily. Enh has no personal cc immunity either like dk does so it cant even protect any of its gos.
The reality is, when you do get that set up go though you do an insane amount of damage. it needs to be stoppable for that reason. 3-4 mil frost strikes with remorseless doing insane damage itself, people even at the high end get one shot by this occasionally.
If dk was tankier and could actually live long it’d likely be close to meta right now. You can have your teammates help you set up the go, ie they can knock people back into it, static field people into it, warrior spear people so they are stuck, vortex people, cc people along with your cc, root/slow, etc and on top of that you have 2 forms of CC immunity via lichborne (1 min cd, 30% DR, immune to fear/charm effects) and IBF. It has a lot of counterplay because the damage is some of the biggest burst in the game, the damage and counterplay is not the issue with dk.
And too many specs have access to disarm.
I wont disagree with that necessarily, rogue probably shouldn’t have it imo even though it somewhat makes sense for them to have. Think its fine for war/ww/surv to have. Rogue just has too much in general between their high damage, insane cc, insane mobility, good survivability (even better this patch), MS and disarm. They could stand to lose either MS or disarm. But again, dk go being stoppable is not the problem with dk.
Frost DKs counter is the fact you walk at Rp speed during your go. Every class can just run away.
Disarm is such a lazy and easy to pull off counter that makes the classes unviable.
Imagine if interrupting a fire mage during combustion cancelled combustion and put it on CD…
Imagine if stunning a DH when they cast meta cancelled it and you can’t meta for another two minutes.
Other classes require actual thought to counter not just hitting one button like a moron.
I think an honor talent called Frozen Grip that grants four seconds of disarm immunity would be fine. You can still lazily disarm after four seconds but at least frost dk can do some damage
I no longer play unholy because it’s a spec built for circus freaks that like juggling 5 plates on sticks. It needs to be massively pruned and basing all your damage on maintaining multiple modifiers and buffs isn’t fun or coherent with the modern game design.
TBH I would prefer they just didnt make frost a dumb gimmick again and went back to least seasons frost and kept it there.

They could redesign it like, “channel the power of the celestials and become full with chi, all attacks are increased by X amount for Y seconds.”
