DK roleplay

I was wondering how either of these concepts would work

  1. A Death Knight that plays “Ghost Whisperer” to feel again. The idea is that they finish tasks holding spirits from crossing over and at the moment of the spirits release they can at least briefly remember and feel positive emotions.

  2. A Death Knight that goes into some sort of torpor between times their sword is needed. Instead of having to endlessly hurt and kill things to keep shades at bay they simply go to ground in between times they are needed, almost becoming a death golem to those whom they have pledged to help defend or work for.

  3. Similar to the Drust Druidic theme, a Death Knight that serves as the other half of the cycle of Druids for Ardenweld. Possibly even a former Druid who was broken from the cycle by current plot or the nightmare so they now function as an autum or winter guard for the Winter Queen.

The second one is pretty neat, but I think the death knight’s sanity would break unless you could somehow go into some kind of hyper sleep. Freezing yourself maybe Lich King style? Or maybe some strong magical spell.

In case 2 I was thinking the equivalent of the classic mummy that once interned is just a corpse until something breaks its wards and wakes it up.

Fleshing the idea out from there I could see

Dark Iron DK - corpse sealed in a suit of armor like a war golem but instead of being animated by a fire elemental it is the spirit of a dead hero.

Night Elf - raised by the Night Warrior from the barrows where the Forsaken slew all the druids.

Gnomes - A mad brilliant gnomish inventor named Fankentiny has found a way to control a dead leper gnome complete with a safety switch that turns off the flow of electricity keeping it animated.

Orc or Tauren , A suit of armor once worn by the ancestors only activated/possessed through ritual that must be renewed every so often.

Basically how far afield can you play with the DK concept without people saying only Lich King/Bolvar pure concepts. I am not for policing other peoples rp, but at the same time I do not want to bring in any concepts that are immersion breaking for others.
