Its really not enough. If you have a defensive group buff it will be ignored and people will still complain that DK isnt brought to raids.
And yeah, they should remove talents. The majority of them are mandatory, you have very little choice when it comes down to it. This game is far away from an MMORPG and going more towards MMOe-sport. You get whats best, you bring whats best and groups look at world first raiders to what their raid comps should be.
So yeah, remove it all. Its getting closer and closer to a job than entertainment.
Again, RWF teams always bring a Paladin for DR aura which has a radius and freedom.
They bring paladin for all its utility. the 3% DR doesnt play a role when they are hitting enrage timers for the kill.

Well your first statement about Paladin aura is incorrect. Liquid Max has said on numerous occasions that their defense and ret auras were one of the main reasons why they continued to get brought in duo.
Ret aura was by far the least useful of the two.
Second part isn’t necessarily true either. DK has to have a good damage profile for the raid otherwise the buff wouldn’t be enough.
Palace had two big prog bosses with add phases that were tailor made perfectly for Frost DK being pumped up by Aug. Undermine doesn’t really have that plus Aug got nerfed.
Almost every boss in the previous raid had a dk or multiple DK’s. Frost was overtuned and there being grips blood was brought.
