I don’t remember what it says.
I really don’t think so. And tbh feels like something akin to an armored version of sinrunner blanchy. Like for example maldraxxus captured a horse spirit from ardenweald, bent it and then slapped some plating around it to contain it.
Doesn’t feel “undeady” but more anima-ish.
“Its ethereal spirit is barely contained by its iron shell. The penultimate creation of Salanar the Horseman, these powerful steeds were once thought to have all been destroyed.”
Edit: Just in case you don’t remember, Salanar gave me my first horse.
It’s just a theory. To me the dragon is an odd choice and the Paladin and Warlocks got an upgrade to their old mounts.
Salanar got all his mounts from the shadowlands according to the dk order hall.
Yeah, that shoulda been a DK thing.
grumble
Dragon was probably because inspiration from the ICC meta mounts and leaning heavily on sindragosa.
Not that I care. That lost glacier quest was easily the best order hall mount quest of all of them. Was so happy that I picked DK in legion. The expansion was really good to DKs (bdk for m+, good spec for NH, ToS and then ant, and then great base location plus story).
Makes sense it could’ve definitely been the class hall. It does feel very DK either way though.
cries in 9 months of 10 attempts per week.
Icebound Frostbrood Vanquisher did it better, though.
There’s a lot of weird choices in the class hall mounts, not just for DKs.
Monks for example. Okay we get Ban-Lu but why is Ban-Lu that colur? as son of Xuen, shouldn’t he be a white tiger too?
Looking back getting them was cool (I know I didn’t get current) but it feels like it stepped on the toes of the glad mounts too much. Like I catch myself way too many times mousing over spell icons on people with dead dragon mounts that happen to look different thinking its a glad mount (100% its not).
Xuen got freaky with Yu’lon.
I could actually see that happening.
I got the class mounts for all the classes I play (which is all of them except druid) and the only ones I like are the Paladin, Warlock, and Shaman ones.
Can you imagine my unbridled glee as I soar through the air on my direhorn?
I actually glyphed it to look like the human paladin horse, because, in my head canon, I stole it from one.
Back when this character was a blood elf, I did the quest to get my thalassian charger. Sadly, I don’t remember enough about the quest to weigh in on its flying merit.
I just recall it being tied to my, “Blood Knight,” identity.

He’s not throwing a fit.
But there is no “rest of the family.” There’s only one pig in the game. And only one dog.
Honestly, I just feel like all of the animals should be able to fly. Give a mount equipment piece that lets them or something. But that’s another subject entirely.
The examples are thrown out there as to all of the oddities we have, yet some draw the line at the DK horse. I just find it odd. If I can have a flying moose or a huge elemental or two other dead horses that can fly… why not the DK one?
Eng should be able to make items so ground mounts can fly.
Have you tried getting the achievement one from ICC? the undead dragon? looks good despite its age
Grind exalted Rep with someone, I can see it now
Neither was I but yet at least two people said I was. Just throwing it right back at them.
