DK Mounts - Can we get the old ones to just be able to fly?

:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I know but I was under the impression that was all retcon’d since that horse is just handed to you now.

At this point you just run all your alts through an icecrown murder spree once a week for repeated 1% chances. Compared to some gambling things I’ve done, those rates are amazing.

I get why regular horses can’t fly.

But none of the Paladin, Warlock, or DK horses are just normal horses. I can’t support that stance.

They are all supernatural, they are all magical, and they all are special and not just your regular nun of the mill natural horse.

The only one that might even fit this category is the level 40 Paladin mount. The level 60 epic mount is as stated, a supernatural ghost.

If you want to say they aren’t supernatural “enough” to be able to fly, then fine. But they are not regular horses.

Regardless I doubt Blizzard will change them. Here’s hoping, though.

But it’s not. That entire questline was removed from the game.

Tauren don’t belong on mounts anyway use your feet you are more mount than most mounts

I got mine when it was still in the game. So it definitely happened for my Paladin.

Not having to do the quest doesn’t change the nature of the mount

Doesn’t it? Anyone that came along after… TBC? Wrath? Can’t remember when it was removed… has no idea that questline even existed. How can it be lore when that lore is gone?

Ok but then I want my pocket dinosaur to also fly, it’s only fair.

Good point. I doubt my kodo will ever fly.

I have to disagree. I love the DK Legion mount! It’s a skeleton Dragon how much cooler can you get? I also think that texture of the mount looks fine in my opinion. The one thing I do agree on though is the ability to switch the colors the mount glows. I to play unholy, but prefer a blue glow for my DK, because I feel like it’s more iconic for Death Knights. Anyway as someone who mains a Warrior I’m not a fan of the Warrior Legion mount at all, and never bothered getting it, because I did not want it.

Sadly that is probably true, although honestly, that is a crying shame. Riding a flying kodo would be really living the dream.

You don’t have to actually do the quest to be told it’s not just a regular horse.

Ok if you want to go that route, fine it’s not just a regular horse. However, that doesn’t mean it should fly. No matter how funny or awesome this would be, the ram, kodo, elephant or direhorn is not a flying mount. Are we saying the humans and belves should get something special?

Humans and elves should be able to fly.

Given that the class ones do for pally and warlock, there’s really no reason the OG ones shouldn’t.

Also you seem wound up. Maybe time for some hot chocolate and a break?

So you’re saying the kodos, rams, elephants and direhorns should fly…

So fragile. Someone disagreeing with you means they’re “wound up.”

No, I’m saying the original charger and dreadsteed should fly. Thus the “OG” in my statement.

Ooh did that trigger you?

One is an undead horse not unlike Invincible or HH’s mount, which both fly.

And the original Paladin horse was granted by a spirit horse, iirc.

Horses already fly, I don’t see why theirs couldn’t either. :slightly_smiling_face:
