Divine Hammer

Is it just me or does Divine Hammer randomly consume Holy Power far more quickly than stated in the tooltip?

Also, why is this a 2 minute cooldown and not just a toggle that replaces Divine Storm?

Possibly because divine storm has 3 talents effecting it in the spec tree, 2 of which is procs for a free buffed up divine storm.

It says it will increase the rate a which It deals damage each time you use some abilities, aka use HP.

And so it does… With no limits to the increase…

So you pretty quickly get to a point where you just can’t contend with the consumption.
It’s not a bug, it’s working as intended and nobody uses it because it’s rather stupid.

It, somehow, made the cut for the expac or the other iterations for this talent, per the couple last notes we got recently, seemingly “went missing” .

If such a thing is even possible…

Just tested out divine hammers.

It’s a big nope for me lol! You literally have to ignore your entire class mechanics to squarely focus on keeping that thing going.

It’s safe to put it on the ignore table. Even using it with TS.

Yeah, I’m really not a fan of this version. This is just Shadow Priest’s old Void Form that consumed more and more Insanity until it was fully depleted and the effect ended.

The increasing consumption mechanic made sense for the direction they took Shadow Priest, even though I thought it was dumb that Shadow Priests were suddenly driving themselves insane instead of their targets. For Paladins though? Not so much.
